RAILWAY:
The railway station for Benalmádena is located in Arroyo de la Miel. Trains run from here to Fuengirola and Málaga. Train travel is cheap and very efficient.
BUSES:
The coastal bus service (Number 10) runs along the seafront road every 30 minutes between Málaga and Fuengirola and all the stops in between including Torremolinos. There is also an excellent circular service running between the village (Benalmádena Pueblo) and the port.

Cruises from Benalmádena
Costasol Cruceros S.L. operate regular boat trips to Malaga and Fuengirola from the port of Benalmadena. The trip to Fuengirola is 60 minutes each way and operates mid-October to the end of March every Tuesday and Sunday 3 times a day. The service is daily the rest of the year. Return tickets are 10 euro for adults, and 6 euro for children The service to Malaga is 75 minutes each way and operates Mondays and Thursdays departing once a day at 10am and leaving Málaga for the return journey at 2.30pm. It is daily the rest of the year. Return tickets are 11 euro adults, and 7 euro for children. The company also operate round-trips and coastal cruises and they also have a yacht for rent by the hour. The Puerto Marina with 1000 moorings and what many authorities has been described as "the best marina in the world". It has a new shopping centre plus 200 shops, bars and restaurants and also a shipyard, sailing school, diving school, nautical school and a Sea Life Centre aquarium.
Paloma Park landscaped gardens with enclosures for a variety of animals and birds
Tivoli world amusement park. During winter (November to March) it is open every Saturday and Sunday (1pm-10pm). It is open daily the rest of the year from 4pm-1am).
Selwo Marina is on the western edge of the Paloma Park in Benalmadena. The theme of this Marina is South America and here you can experience both the flora and fauna of that area. Some of the attractions include a dolphin display, sea lion display and the largest penguin collection in southern Spain which is set in an area called Isla de Hielo (island of ice/coldness). There is also a large collection of exotic birds. You can reach Selwo Marina by walking up Avda. del Parque which is off to the left at the southern-most end of Paloma Park. It is open every day from 11am until dusk and entrance is 12 euros for adults, and 8 euros for children. Their website is http:///
Telecabina (cable car) which takes passengers 750m above sea level to Monte Calamorro where, on a clear day, you can see the Atlas Mountains in North Africa.
5 Star Torrequebrada Hotel & Casino. The hotel boasts a first-class restaurant open in the evenings and an excellent garden-side restarant open at lunchtime - both restaurants available to non-residents.
You can also have dinner in the Sala Fortuna and take in a flamenco show and a cabaret show.
The Bullring: For those who enjoy this sort of thing Benalmadena has its own bullring, situated on the main road from Arroya to Benalmadena Pueblo. Bullfights are held at intervals through the year on Sunday afternoons at 5pm.
Mijas: Every Tuesday (except July and August). Weekly Flamenco shows organised by the town hall at midday in the main square in Mijas village. The entertainers are the municipal dance group and spectators are offered a free glass of Malaga wine, courtesy of the Mijas Tourist Office.
In Benalmádena Pueblo there is a lovely square where you can sit under orange trees and have a meal, a snack or a drink at one of three cafes.
GOLF COURSES:
Torrequebrada golf: home course of multiple European PGA tournament winner and Ryder-Cup player Miguel Angel Jiménez. This excellent 18-hole golf course is virtually on your doorstep. (tel +34 95 244 2742).
Mijas Golf: Within 15 minutes there are two 18-hole, championship golf courses, Los Lagos and Los Olivos, (tel +34 95 247 6843).
Then there is a choice of 15 other courses within one hours drive.
