My beach apartment is located in Denia, on the tip of the Costa Blanca. This luxury apartment has just been renovated in the most contemporary Mediterranean style.
The beach complex Hipocampo has direct access to miles of sandy beach, complete with dunes, boardwalk,exercise machines,acquamotos,volleyball and football courts etc.
Secure parking and children's playing areas are below, although the place to be is the beach or on the south-east facing terrace, with stunning views of El Raset beach, Denia's northern Marina, and the towering Montgó mountain.
Direct sunlight onto this terrace is from dawn to 13:00 in December and until 16:00 in June. However, a key can be provided to continue sunbathing on the roof in the evening.
The area is a resedential-holidaymaker mix, so you will be right beside restaurants, bars, cafés, hotels, spas, gyms, supermarkets, newsagents and convenience stores. The municipal sports centre with its swimming pool is only 500m away.
However, the apartment is in the centre of a coastal strip of residential development land, and therefore far from any traffic or noise from the surrounding amenities.
The apartment itself has just been renovated. It's open-plan with new parquet, sliding pine doors, up-lighting, and new furniture and beds, windows and bathroom.
The kitchen is small but practical with new oven, hob, extractor and fridge.
The children's bedroom has two single beds, nightlights, a study table and shelves and a fitted wardrobe with a full supply of bedclothing and sheets above.
The bathroom is bright and cheery. It has a walk-in double shower so you can shower the children and yourself at the same time after your day at the beach!
The apartment is on the third floor. As apartment blocks are compulsarily low-rise in Denia, there is no lift, so you will get a little exercise too!
But the delight of this apartment has to be the living/dining room with direct access to the terrace. You can sit or dine inside, at a high table or low table, or outside on the roomy terrace. There is also satellite TV.
