The house has two floors. The first floor is a full equiped house for up to 9 people. The ground floor is a loft style apartment with two rooms and garden for up to 4 people.
As the two floors are completeklly independent the house is ideal for a big family or a group of friends that want to be together but enjoy some independence.
The house is located in a 1200 square meter fenced ground at less than 50 meters from the sandy Cap Roig beach, at L'Ampolla.
The ground floor is at street level has two rooms with A/C (one with a double bed, one with two twin beds, max 4 people), a bathroom, a kitchen and an external dining place.
The first floor has four rooms with A/C (two with double beds, two with bunk beds, max 9 people) two bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, and three dining areas (one internal and two external). The back garden has a barbeque and a big table for up to 16 people.
The house has a ping pong table, a boat for two, and four bikes.
The two floors could be used by two different groups so you are together but you can enjoy as well full independence if needed. This distribution is perfect for two friend families, or for big families. If you travel with service or baby siters one floor could be used by them.
House style: this house belongs to architects. Our idea has not been to create a "luxury" or classical house, but to have a tipical mediterranean house made of "honest" and natural materials, keeping the original slabs of clay in the soil , using teka woods for doors and windows. The windows are shutter type so they allow light and temperature control. All the Rooms have A/C. The kitchens are very well equiped with first level Gaggenau appliances and Italian Dada kitchen furniture. We have owen, induction, tepan, and one fridge on each of the floors. The rest of the furniture and lighting is mainly clasical furniture from the XX.
Surroundings: the house is 5 minutes ride from L'ampolla, a small tipical fisherman village, where the main shopping has to be done, including local fish and fruits. L'Ampolla is the door to the Ebro river Delta, a protected natural park housing the second biggest european bird reserve (at the picture section you can find a picture of Pink Flamingos taken by us at the Delta lands). The Ebro Delta has big rice planctations, so you can enjoy the wonderfull landscape of the rice fields. Perfecly flat lands, they are perfect for biking at the small roads crossing the rice fields. We have four bikes at home, and there are some bike rental places at the Delta area. The gastronomical spetialitties are different rice dishes, from the tipical paella to more sofisticated duck and eel rice. You can have as well wonderfull fish, frog legs, the local red tune (is the only area in the mediterranean where the red tuna can be fished). If you are interested in gastronomy we can advise you where to eat.
L'Ampolla has a port and different yatch can be rented.
Apart of the Cap Roig beach, there are many small sandy and rocky beaches around the house. To discover these beaches is a great pleasure.
There are some golf courses near the house.
A few minutes from the house there are olive fields and great mountains to climb and explore. You can do some excursions up to the Ebro river path, horse riding, etc.
To the north: about 40 minutes to the north you will reach Portaventura, the famous amusement park. One hour from the house is Tarragona, a city with wonderful Roman empire findings.
Less than two hours from the house is Barcelona. You can reach Barcelona directly by train from L'Ampolla.
