Renovated this year, this one bed roomed house is located in the old quarter of Altea in a traffic free street. Offering beautiful views to the sea, the property has a living room with sofa and armchair, coffee table, TV, DVD and music system, internet connection and is tastefully decorated in the spanish style. The modern kitchen features ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave, refrigerator, kettle, and toaster. The lounge area has a small metal action sofabed and 2 armchairs and a coffee table. Upstairs, the bedroom is airconditioned, has a double bed, bedside tables, fitted wardrobe and chest of drawers. The ensuite bathroom has ceramic shower tray and fitments. There is also a washing machine with a discreet washing line on the small back patio of the property. Upstairs from the bedroom is the ample private roof terrace with patio furniture and umbrella. From the terrace the beautiful views across the bay to Albir may be enjoyed. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Alteas pebble beach is a few minutes walk from the apartment and is unspoilt. There are a fine selection of restaurants and tapas bars along the seafront catering for all budgets. The train station is 4 minutes walk away and trains run at approximately 1/2 hour intervals during the summer - hourly for the rest of the year, to Calpe, Benidorm and further afield. There are lots of shops around Altea and of course the famous weekly market as well as those of the other towns in the area which are always well publicised.
The old town of Altea also has an excellent selection of restaurants and tapas bars as well as interesting gift shops and galleries. Alteas church square sits atop the town and is a few minutes walk up from the apartment through the beautiful whitewashed houses that make up the very attractive old quarter of the town.

Nearby Benidorm includes the tourist attractions of Aqualandia, Mundomar, Terra Mitica and the fantastic new natural history park - Terra Natura, all are just 10 minutes drive away. During the summer boat trips are available from Altea Marina with dropping off points at Calpe, Javea and Denia.

The best town on the Costa Blanca

Altea is an amazing town, which has escaped the gargantuan building boom of Benidorm and Calpe on either side of it, and retained its authentic Spanish character. Very picturesque old town with a church at the top and a lovely little square outside it. As many restaurants, cafés and boutiques as you could want, but nothing overdone. The esplanade is beautiful, a walking area lined with restaurants. The beaches are not as nice as Calpe or Benidorm, a mixture of stones and sand, but the peace and tranquility outweigh that. You can walk for miles in either direction along the coast. Martin and Fernando's house had a fantastic view of the sea from all floors, the parking was really convenient, and the little house had everything you could wish for. A great stay, friendly owners, and I'll certainly be back.

fantastisch

het huisje was perfect.Prachtig gelegen in het oude centrum van Altea op enkele trappen verwijderd van het kerkplein met verschillende restaurantjes en winkeltjes.Van zee was het tien minuten stappen via de trappen maar men kon ook via de parking die juist onder het huisje lag en dit was dan wel langs een gewone weg berg af,berg op.Het huisje zelf was wel voor mensen die goed te been waren.keuken op het gelijkvloers,slaapkamer en badkamer op eerste verdiep en op het tweede een dakterras met prachtig uitzicht op altea en de zee.De eigenaars waren heel vriendelijk en we werden onthaald met een lekker flesje wijn en pindanootjes met als afsluiter een stuk chocola.We hadden hier een heerlijke vakantie en zouden direkt willen teruggaan.

A step back in time

The house was exactly as expected from the photos and was a nice size for two. The old town of Altea is protected through conservation policy and deservedly so. We soon settled into the house, like a home from home, and enjoyed returning to it after our days climbing. We enjoyed the roof terrace and walking around the old town of Altea in the evening and found a fabulous restaurant, where I had the best scallops ever. We were greeted by Fernando, who was very kind and helpful during our stay and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

very nice holiday

If your after a nice apartment with good views with peace and quite this is it, it as every thing you need for self catering holiday. very nice small town with shops and market, not far from benidorm by car or by rail. we cannot thought the apartment it was very clean with all you would need to have a very nice holiday.

4 Buena vista

Lovely little house with a super roof area with unobstructed views over the entire bay and sunlit all the time .The house is very convenient for the old town, up a flight of steps nearby into the old square and easy access down to the modern town and seafront ( about 400 metres )No direct car access but excellent free parking about 100 m away . The house is compact, well organised clean and in excellent repair and a goody bag of wine ,milk etc is provided on arrival ,very welcome . Can thoroughly recommend it and the service provided by the owners.

Lovely little house with a wonderful view

I found the house to be just as I had expected from the photographs. The roof terrace is lovely, and not really overlooked. The owner was very pleasant, polite and helpful. Having visited Altea before, I already knew the pretty Casco Antiguo and its numerous steps! I'd recommend flat shoes! There is even a 'secret' flight from just by the house directly up to the church square. The beach, bus stops and tram station are within sight (more steps!) so it is very convienient. I had a wonderful holiday.
