Set in a beautiful urbanization of Las Buganvillas which is located about 500m west of the centre of La Cala. The apartment is approximately 100 meters from the beach and several restaurants; including a great Spanish one (Sheriff bar) located right on the beach serving excellent local fish and paella.
The apartment itself consists of a kitchen, bathroom, lounge (living room /dining room), bedroom, terrace and a patio. It comes fully furnished with two twin beds in the bedroom which may be zipped together to form a supper-king size (200cm x 200cm) bed, a couch which folds out into a double bed, two arm chairs and a small dining table which seats four in the lounge, fully equipped kitchen, and deck chairs and tables for the patio and terrace.
For those of you who like to follow the sun around the terrace faces south-east which gets morning and early afternoon sun; while the patio faces south-west (& the pools) and gets early afternoon and evening sun; or vice-versa if you prefer shade. There are two pools one normal and one for toddlers.
La Cala de Mijas is located roughly half way between Malaga and Marbella (though slightly closer to Marbella). It has many excellent restaurants including Thai, Indian, Chinese, Australian (steak), Mexican, English and of course Spanish. It has a few shops, though better shopping may be had in Marbella or Malaga; accessing either of these wonderful cities is very easy both by bus (caught 100m down the street) of by car.
La Cala also has one of the longest biggest beaches on the Costa del Sol, as well as many play grounds for children. Horse back riding is available at El Jinete located about 5km from the apartment. Excellent golf abounds everywhere on the Costa del Sol and there is a great one, El Chaparral, is only meters away. There is a market in La Cala twice a week selling local wears and food. Near by city of Fuengirola has a zoo, a water park and great shopping (El Corte Ingles).
