Casa Eryl provides very comfortable accommodation at a budget price and is aimed at climbers, walkers or any party of to 4 people who wish to experience life in a typical Spanish village. The house is well-equipped with the rustic-style kitchen having all modern appliances, including full oven, grill, 4 ring hob, dishwasher,microwave, toaster, kettle and a large selection of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans.
A utility area houses the washing machine and large fridge/freezer.
The dining area has a beautiful dining table for up to 6 people and an attractive dresser with a drinks cupboard which we ask you to keep stocked up. The lounge has a comfortable sofa and armchair-both with footrests! English TV available via SAT TV and DVD also provided.
There is a full bathroom with double washbasins, bidet, bath and shower.
On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms- one with 2 large single beds, and the master bedroom has a king-sizes bed, armchair, coffee table and access to the terraces.
It is situated within the village of Ardales, near the castle and the church. The pretty roof terrace at Casa Eryl has wonderful views of this, which is lit up at night. During the daytime you can appreciate the stunning mountain views while enjoying the sun from the hammock or whilst dining alfresco at the table and chairs provided. A gas barbecue is situated on the lower terrace.
There is good walking directly from the house and plenty of parking within 50m. Wehave an experienced English gude who will take you on walks with breathtaking views and who will provide you with an amazing amount of local knowledge.
The village of Ardales is a beautiful ‘Pueblo blanco, typical of Andalucia. It has all facilities-banks, shops, restaurants, tapas bars & a weekly market and in summer, 2 village swimming pools.
There is also a Cultural centre which often has flamenco shows and which houses a bank of computers with free, fast internet connections.
We also have a museum and there are trips to the prehistoric caves with cave paintings
3 bars in the village also have free WIFI. Ardales is at the edge of the Natural Park which bears its name, where you will find 3 beautiful turquoise lakes nestled in pine covered mountains. The famous El chorro gorge (world class climbing area) is 15 mins away. The scenery is exquisite & ideal for walking or mountain biking. The historic town of Ronda is 45 mins away, Granada, 90 mins, Seville 2 hrs, while Malaga & the famous Costa del Sol is within 35 mins drive. This area is just being developed for tourism- The neighbouring village of Carratraca has a newly refurbished 18th century spa baths and a brand new 5 star hotel under the management of Ritz- Carlton. This is a very different type of tourism than that of the coast here you will encounter all the charm of Inland Spain. The locals welcome visitors and appreciate attempts at speaking Spanish-bring phrase book!!
