(Very important, we have another apartment on the building in case any big family needs more than 4 people to fit) This new and modern apartment in the beautiful village of Altafulla is perfect for your next getaway. A one minute stroll down a leafy walkway to a beautiful beach.
The apartment is divided into two floors, including a large garden area comprising a grassed corner garden and a tiled area.
On the ground floor, open-plan kitchen and lounge/dining room with huge glass sliding doors and windows bringing in lots of natural light. On the first floor: 1 suite bedroom with built-in wardrobes and a balcony facing the beach. 1 double bedroom, and a bathroom. Access from the first floor to a big rooftop terrace with nice views. All the rooms have natural light with large windows.
The house is located very close to the beach (just a 250 meter stroll down a lovely tree-lined walkway), and the famous Roman ruins. Also walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants, newspaper stand, bakery, etc.
Some extra information on Altafulla and surrounding area:
Altafulla was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for the remains of a luxurious Roman village/community which lie on its shore. Secondly, as an extremely well-conserved and beautiful medieval village, it was declared an area of National Historic and Artistic Interest. Finally, it has a magnificent beach where we can finish our tour with a dip in the sea or a drink on the lively promenade.
Situated on the Costa Dorada, Altafulla is a little fishing village and a preferred destination of tourists. It is also close to the banks of the river Gaia, and offers a wide range of tourist attractions. The town has wonderfully retained its ancient, bucolic charm, and it is quite a pleasure to stroll along its narrow streets. This seaside village has an antique quarter where one is transported to an ancient medieval era. The area is called "Vila Closa," and its streets and buildings are a lovely historical treat. Altafulla s Roman heritage is still visible in the impressive ruins in the area. As well, its fine sandy beaches and crystal clear water is what makes Altafulla and the rest of the Costa Dorada famous, making many a tourist from all over the world return, time and again.
During your stay in Altafulla, you should also not miss its cultural and historical attractions: the castle of Altafulla or the Baroque church of Sant Marti in Villa Closa. Other very interesting destinations in and around Altafulla are: the esplanade 'Les Botigues de Mar' with its many shopping options along the Costa Dorada, the Villa Romana dels Munts - ancient ruins of a Roman city from the first century, and the Villa Closa houses from the Roman area.
We are also within short driving or train distance to:
the amusement park Port Aventura
Tarrogona, with its important Roman remains
Fun waterparks, great for the kids
Several golf courses
