The Ranch Studio in the beautiful small village of El Ferrer offers exceptional value accommodation for 1 or 2 people. Fully equipped with its own small private terrace, and shared swimming pool and hot tub. It boasts it's own private entrance, a parking space, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom and a double bed and sofa. There is also a small terrace with a small BBQ for outdoor cooking. It also has a washing machine, very useful for long stays. Right next door and in a quiet and secluded setting is the shared pool and hot tub. It comes fully equipped with all you should need for your stay, including bed linen and indoor towels. Please supply your own pool/beach towels and hairdryer if required. There is no TV. Houses are ready from 2pm on your day of arrival, and have to be vacated by 10am on your departure day. A basic welcome pack will be provided by us with a few essential ingredients, but there are many local supermarkets, though in Spain they are closed on Sundays, so if you are planning to arrive late on a Saturday, shop before you get here. Pool can be heated from May 2018 onwards! La Rueda, our cortijo and the cottage we rent, is situated 5km outside Orgiva in a hamlet called Los Agustines, at the southern foothills of the Sierra Nevada. This is still a 'living' community of mainly vegetable farmers who till their land below us mostly by hand. Sit in your hammock and watch them. Often one of our lovely neighbours knocks on the door to share his produce with us. Every afternoon some goats with bells around their necks make their way down to the fields, or Paco or Jose go by with their mule. This place really is as idyllic as it sounds! Our cottage is set in its own small garden and is surrounded by lots of lovely colours and smells. If you don't feel like cooking and want to have a relaxing time, let us know and we will prepare you breakfast and/or a lovely surprise dinner menu on one of our charming terraces! Our house is a rural house with 2 floors. On the ground floor there is the living room and the kitchen separated by an American bar, and on the upper floor there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The house has capacity for 4 adults and also has a crib for babies. We also rent the house for 2 people. It is a typical Alpujarra construction, with chestnut wooden beams and all the carpentry both exterior and interior is made of solid wood. The house is fully equipped: hob, fridge, washing machine, tv, kitchen menage ..... The heating is electric and has a fireplace on the ground floor for which we give a box of firewood per stay. The house is within the urban area, you can walk to all parts of the town. The street where we are is wide and has easy parking. Bubión, our town, is located in the center of the Barranco de Poqueira. Together with Capileira and Pampaneira, they form the historic artistic ensemble of the Barranco de Poqueira. We are located in the heart of the Sierra Nevada National Park. Bubión is a small and quiet town, ideal for hiking, horse riding .... and enjoy nature in general....

Furthermore, you can discover the Alpujarras of Granada by car with its beautiful Moorish "Pueblos Blancos". This is a very authentic and mountainous area, the foothills of the Sierra Nevada to the sea. Here you can enjoy wonderful walks through the mountains or the Mediterranean Sea. On the coast are small typical Spanish baths in various bays. Also in 1 1/2 hours to the city of Granada where you can not miss the "Alhambra". In the same area is our farm with 5 hectares of land where you can enjoy a delicious meal. Here we have almonds, figs, olives, saffron, organic, wine and a vegetable garden. Cortijo la Suerte, a charming holiday home in the Alpujarras region of Andalucia in southern Spain is situated on the southern slopes of Spanish Sierra Nevada (Alpujarras).
