A destination in Spain often referred to as “A Paradise between two seas” is La Manga del Mar Menor. A narrow stretch of land in-between two seas results in endless beaches and a spectacular scenery ideal for a holiday on the Spanish peninsula.

In the region of Murcia one can find an ideal holiday resort, La Manga del Mar Menor. Translated directly La Manga del Mar Menor means “The sleeve of the little sea”. The area is divided into four parts which consist of San Pedro de Pinatar, Cartagena, San Javier and Los Alcazares. It is one of the most important tourist centers in the region and stretches between the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean. What makes the area so popular is the geographical outlay, a narrow sandy pit with over 22 km of beaches on both sides in which it various from between 100 meters to 800m in width in some areas. Some might think that they are actually looking at an area in Florida or maybe at an ever so developed area in Dubai, not no, this is natural beauty in Spain, within easy reach.

How to get there 

To travel to La Manga one can either fly to Murcia’s small but International Airport, San Javier, however with more flight connections there is also the possibility to travel to Alicante’s Airport which is only a hour drive away.
