If you find a good rental villa that suits you and your family, look after it! Like it or not, during very peak times (end July & early August) owners can pick and choose exactly who rents their villa. As owners , we do note who cares for our properties and will give them first option on dates for the following year.

July fireworks festival in Moraira

The beautiful coastal town of Moraira on the Costa Blanca is one of the
most charming places to visit. I am so very lucky to live here. In the summer the place is just magic, with the best two nights of the year being the 15th & 16th July. This is when Moraira’s council takes on the challenge to stage firework displays to rival the festivals in Valencia and other large cities in Spain.

Spanish tapas- Ginger and Chilli Prawns

Recipe: One of the best bargains in Spanish supermarkets are the prawns or Gambas, as they are known here. Mercadonna, Spain’s best value supermarket , has fabulous choice of fresh fish on offer.
