 The beautiful coastal  town of Moraira on the Costa Blanca  is one of the most charming places to visit. I am so very  lucky to live here. In the summer the place is just magic, with  the best two nights of the year being the 15^th & 16^th July. This is when Moraira’s council  takes on the challenge to stage  firework displays to rival the festivals in Valencia and other large cities  in Spain.

 Recipe:  One of the best bargains in Spanish supermarkets are the prawns or Gambas, as they are known here. Mercadonna, Spain’s best value supermarket , has fabulous choice of fresh fish on offer. Their grey medium sized prawns are just €6.95 a kilo. A steal!
