Marina Alta is a coastal district in the northernmost province of Alicante, and is known for having the most stunning landscape in Costa Blanca. It has a very complex terrain with numerous mountains, valleys and a rugged coastline with many cliffs and coves stretched along the Mediterranean.

This well known district lies between the towns of Denia and Calpe and boasts of approximately 325 days of sunshine per year. The climate is warm in summer and mild in winter making it an ideal place for a holiday at any time of the year.

The three peaks of the province

The coast of this region has some of the most emblematic natural formations in the province, such as the Cape San Antonio, Cape San Martin and Cape de la Nao. These three formations form together the peculiar “peak” of the province, which is equally famous as the Rock of Ifach in the town of Calpe.

The coastal wetland, the Pego-Oliva marsh, marks the border between Valencia and Alicante and is one of the most interesting wetlands located along the Mediterranean. Denia:Denia is the capital of the Marina Alta area and boasts 18 kilometers of sandy beaches and rocky coves. It is a popular holiday destination rich in both history and culture.
