Romantic Places in Spain

December 17th, 2010

Spain the country of passion is the perfect place to take your loved one and enjoy some of the most romantic places that the world has to offer. There are hundreds of places that I could recommend that would indeed capture the heart of the one you love without a doubt, but here are a few of my personal favourites.

The Magic Fountain of Montjuic, Barcelona.

Magic Fountain of Montjuic.

If a proposal is lingering in the future, maybe this could be an idea. The Magic Fountain of Montjuic is without a doubt a magical experience. The large fountain does a spectacular show with different rhythms of water, lights and overwhelming classical music. The pure scene of it is breathtaking and will make any one weak in the knees and nobody would be able to resist but to say “YES”.

La Alhambra, Granada.

Within the Alhambra and Generalife.

Spain most visited monument La Alhambra is without a doubt the perfect location for a romantic stroll. The old Moorish Palace and its gardens Genarlife are like the scene of a fairytale, gorgeous architecture, stunning courtyards, a mix of colors and flowers in peaceful surroundings.

Cazorla National Park, Jaen.

Cazorla National Park.

Cazorla national park claimed a UNESCO biosphere reserve is a perfect place to retrieve for a weekend with that special someone. One of Spain’s best kept secrets, the national park is an area of outstanding natural beauty.  Go for long walks and absorb the spectacular valleys, mountains, waterfalls and lakes.

Old Town of Caceres, Caceres.

The Medieval Town of Caceres.

The medieval part of town in Caceres is without a doubt an amazing place to experience with someone you love. The historical center consists of numerous old buildings, churches, palaces and cobbled streets. The town is a peaceful place where one can marvel at ones surroundings and really enjoy. Go up to the bell tower of one of the churches and enjoy the sights, the tranquility and your company.  Then wander down to the town square and enjoy a lovely meal taking you make to the medieval times.

Famara Beach,  Lanzarote.

Laze in the sun and soak up the warm rays on the Beach of Famara.  The long sandy beach is one of the largest on Lanzarote and is incredible to spend a day or two. Venture over to the small village of Famara where the small roads are made of sand and the atmosphere is relaxed and chilled.
