Visitors flock in their droves every year to the wonderful Island of Majorca, just one of the Balearic Islands of Spain.
But sitting pretty just next door is a real beauty, and a visit to Menorca will leave you in no doubt that this island is anything but minor in it´s array of attractions, not least the rich amount of prehistoric remains.
Literally hundreds of Bronze Age villages and remains are to be discovered on this island of sunshine – let´s look at who lived in a place like this!

Discovering Menorca’s hidden beaches by Kayak

Fancy kayaking around the Island of Menorca? Well there is no better time do to it.
Taking the initiative, the tourist board in Menorca has been the first in Spain to actively seek people who are looking for kayaking holidays.
And no, this isn’t your typical one-hour leisurely paddle around a sheltered beach, this is more of a ten-day, ten-hour-a-day paddle around the island, bivouacking on deserted beaches, bringing enough food and supplies to last days and basically living at Nature’s mercy.
A ten-day round the island trip can easily turn into a fifteen day adventure if wind and sea conditions are against you.
In saying that, there is no better way to discover the island and its proving to be increasingly popular.

Hold that diet! Eating out in Mallorca..

Mallorca - or Majorca – the largest of the group of Islands which include Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera collectively the Balearic Islands. Where the language is Catalan – the local dialect Mallorquí.
Popular with tourists from Germany, England and Ireland – amongst other places, attracted by the stunning beaches and scenery with panoramic views. Majorca has also become a leading destination popular with foodies from all over the world – and if it’s true that there is a fiesta for every day in Andalucía, then it must also be said there is a fiesta for every food type in Majorca! Pack the stretchy trousers…….!
