June is Gay and Lesbian Pride month and there are many celebrations being held across the continent, which obviously includes Spain! Spain is a shining example of the Lesbian and Gay rights and is already known for its pride celebrations in many areas around the country. Did you know that in 2005 Spain became the fourth country in the world to grant full recognition to gay marriage and adoptions? Well yes, that’s right, the Spanish Parliament gave its final approval on June 30th 2005.

Las Fallas, Valencia

Preparations are well under way for Valencia’s most famous and explosive festival, Las Fallas (Las Falles in Valencian). Hundreds of thousands of people converge on Valencia to celebrate this unique event.

The Malaga feria (fair) starts today – Friday August 13th and ends on Saturday the 21st, one day earlier than normal.  One of the biggest celebrations in Spain, the nine day street party is expected to attract over six million visitors. Celebrating the re-conquest of the city of the City by Isabella and Ferdinand in 1487. The Malaga Feria is a party not to be missed.
