While I was out walking in Spain

Spain lends itself to a great walk. Other than at the hottest times of the year, the landscape of this vast and varied country makes going for a stroll in the countryside a sheer joy. I never want to turn back and go home. There is always another corner to look around. Always another brow of a hill where you wonder what is on the other side. And the sights you can see on a walk are as memorable as the countryside itself. Here is my personal photo gallery of just one walk i went on recently. Around the Lecrin Valley.

Happy Valley

The Lecrín Valley is, even in these difficult times, a happy place. Located midway between the coastal port of Motril on the Costa Tropical, and the great city of Granada, it’s one of those locations in Spain that has got the balance just right. The balance between keeping its historic character and family feel, while welcoming an injection of new and foreign blood. It is indeed a happy valley.
