As we all might know by now is that Spain is famous for its many wild, crazy and loud festivals, and the madness of La Tamborrada in San Sebastian is no exception. The tradition of the massive drum festival, La Tamborrada, is without a doubt Spain’s highlight event in January (after the Three Kings that is..) and can even be considered as Spain´s noisiest festival.

Cadiz features in Lonely Planet’s Top Destinations for 2012

The travel guidebook publisher Lonely Planet has just released its Top Destinations list for 2012 and included in their list of top cities is the wonderful Andalusian city of Cadiz. The lists includes reasons to visit the destinations in 2012, not to miss sights and attractions, experiences and events in the local area.

The most fun you will ever have with a tomato!

La Tomatina Tomato Festival, Buñol, Valencia – 31th August 2011
La Tomatina is a week long festival that takes place in the town of Buñol near Valencia in Spain. Its main attraction is the tomato fight that is always held on the last Wednesday of August; each year over one hundred tons of over ripe tomatoes are thrown in the streets and festival-goers tend to get… well, covered in over ripe tomatoes. It’s a very messy, but fun affair!
