The tourism department in Torrevieja’s townhall has released a snorkeller’s guide to the area, believed to be one of the first of its kind.
The guide is published in Spanish, English, French and German. It covers six different snorkelling routes in and around Torrevieja.

The area in and around Torrevieja is blessed with a wide diversity of marine life and underwater features.

The guide will no only list the route, but will explain the underwater flora and fauna, provide details such as the depth, co-ordinates and provide practical advice as well.
Three of the routes are in the area of Las Calas de Torreveieja, two are just in-front of the Juan Apaticio walkway and the last, is in Punta Prima (Cala Piteras) .
