Villamartin is the name of a very popular urbanization and a World renowned golf course that borders it. Situated on the Costa Blanca, Orihuela, in the Province of Alicante.

What began as a tiny development in 1972 and has since become a urbanization of some 1500 apartments, townhouses and villas. Despite its size the urbanization is carefully landscaped with beautiful gardens and large communal areas.
A whole community has developed within Villamartin with bars, nightclubs, cafes, restaurants, banks, even a doctor’s office.
The Plaza – central square – is a central meeting point and, not just for Villamartin’s human inhabitants. A colony of African ring neck parrots has also made their home there.
Villamartin Golf course
The Villamartin Golf course is now internationally renowned and is widely recognized as one of the best in Spain, hosting the Mediterranean Open in 1994. The newer Las Ramblas de Orihuela 18-hole golf course also borders the area.
A mere five minutes drive from Villamartin are some of the Costa Blanca’s best beaches. Throughout the summer months there are courtesy buses running from the urbanization to the coast.
Amongst the most popular are La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Campoamor and Playa Flamenca. All the beaches in the area are regularly awarded the EEC Blue Flag Award for their cleanliness and first class facilities.
There is an abundance of restaurants and places to visit.
With 300 hundred days of sunshine a year and a 20 degree average annual temperature, Villamartin is sure to remain a popular destination.
