Conil de la Frontera is a former fishing village which has become a popular, low-rise resort. It has good beaches and the streets still have a village feel to them.

All in all 16 km of long sandy beaches stretch out nearby, which are suitable for a variety of leisure activities. Long, flat beaches with white sands, small sections of beach with cliffs behind them, small coves for nude bathing and sunning yourself at Cala de Aceite and behind the lighthouse.
