Benajarafe is a small district situated on the eastern side of Spains Costa del sol. Its location, some 14 kilometres from the regions capital, Malaga, lies within the area known as Axarquia. Situated on the coast, between Rincon de la Victoria and Torre del Mar, it enjoys one of the best climates in Europe. The unique combination of sun an sea, makes it almost tropical.
To get to this magnificent location, take the autovia del Mediterraneo (E-15), starting at Malaga and heading in the direction of Almeria. It is part of the municipality of Velez-Malaga, a town to the northeast of our village.
Benajarafe is about 25 minutes to Nerja that boasts 16 kilometres of beaches with powdery sand and sparkling clear water. All major water sports are available here, including water skiing, scuba diving and sailing.
The beaches of Benajarafe and El Rincon de la Victoria are traditional summer resorts. There, at sunset the traveller may enjoy the spectacle of el Copo a variety of fishing in shallow water.
