La Zenia is a famous resort on Costa Blanca belonging to the coast of Orihuela. There is a famous hotel, with the same name as this resort, but there are numerous holiday homes for rent as well. La Zenia also boasts a fine beach and some great facilities. Popular with the Irish, La Zenia is the location of the famous Paddys Point bar, one of the best known bars along the Costa Blanca. Not only the Irish people go this nice resort for a summer holiday or beach holiday, it is a touristic place that everyone can enjoy. A family friendly and blue flag beaches are within easy reach form the holiday homes.
The location is ideal as you can fly to either Alicante airport or Murcia, resp. 30 and 20 min drive from La Zenia.
During your stay you can drive along the coastal road and visit Torrevieja, Murcia, Cartagena and Alicante.
La Zenia has a good selection of amenities: a pharmacy, bank, a well stocked supermarket, and a good selection of bars and restaurants.
There are three superb golf courses nearby: Villamartin, Campoamor and Las Ramblas. Also within easy reach is the Orihuela Costa Resort Complex with outstanding leisure facilities including an Olympic sized swimming pool, tennis, squash, a well equipped gym, bowling – and a bar and restaurant.
The surrounding countryside has beautiful orange and lemon groves and there are two lakes where you can see flamingos and other birds. The bustling town of Torrevieja is only a ten minute drive away, with its huge variety of places to eat and drink, a busy marina, and lively evening market.
As you would expect on the Costa Blanca, the weather is fantastic – with over 300 days of sunshine a year, low humidity and mild winters.
