Velez de Benaudalla, is a charming white village in the province of Granada, close to the Costa Tropical (about 150 m above sea level) with more or less 3000 inhabitants.
It has a priviledged location, as it is only 10 min away from the coast (above Motril and Salobreña) and 55 km from the city of Granada. The village is located at the foot of the "Sierra de Lujar" and surrounded by "Sierra de Almijara", "Los Guajares" and "Sierra Nevada".

The Church Of Rosario
Conserva de su pasado árabe la base, siendo los muros exteriores y la cubierta cristianas, pues fue reformado por Juan de Ulloa al tomar posesión de la villa. Permaneció intacto 100 años. Fue restaurado en 1992 por el Ayuntamiento, y en la actualidad alberga en su interior el Centro de Interpretación del Patrimonio de Vélez de Benaudalla.
El Jardín Nazarí, declarado BIC, es junto con el Generalife el único jardin islámico de estas características que se conserva en Europa. Se distinguen 4 elementos: Jardín, Casa, Molino y acequia. Podiamos llamarlo el jardín de los sentidos.
