Holiday rentals Manilva ->

Manilva is the most up and coming area

Manilva is 97 kms from Malaga and 13 from Estepona, situated between the cities of Malaga and Cadiz.

One of the most charming aspects of Manilva is that, despite its prime location on the coast, there is a refreshing lack of anonymous sky-scraper construction. Therefore, although tourists are just starting to discover the village (with good reason), it remains intrinsically Spanish.

The majority of residents live in the commercial centre which covers just two kilometres.

Beaches in the area are some of the best on the Costa del Sol, and even in the height of summer they are anything but busy. Plenty of golfing locally, and the Duquesa marina provides for the opportunity for those with a nautical persuasion.

The interior which is mainly agricultural is known as Punta Chullera and stretches inland for some 7,8 kms.

The town covers an area of 35ī20 square kilometres and is 128 metres above sea level with an average temperature of 18 degrees celcius.

The town has a fascinating history which dates back to Roman times and, still today, there are some remarkably well-preserved Roman sulphur baths.

However if you want to partake of these health-giving waters you will have to be prepared to dive into a subterranean cavern and to put up with the smell of sulphur on your swimwear!
