Rojales tourist information

Rojales covers a large area including large urbanisations but Rojales town is a typical Spanish town. Where there are a variety of shops, restaurants, tapa’s bars, cafes, banks and pubs including an English bar called Tylers & an Irish one called The Bridge both which we can recommend. There is a health centre with a new one in the process of construction and a multitude of small shops and three large supermarkets. In the town centre there is a very pretty church, a local museum and a lovely village square where you can sit & watch the world go by. There are cave houses (photo 2) to explore with art displays and a house with millions of shells on the inside and outside, the owners lifetime work. The river Segura runs through the centre of Rojales this is a lovely place to while away a few hours in the evening and where many of the locals spend their spare time with the family.

Rojales comes alive on Thursday mornings with the market held beside the river in the town centre. People come from everywhere to get their fresh vegetables and the many bargains that are obtainable there. There is a road of very lively discos in Rojales near the Los Palacios end this is where the locals let their hair down on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings until the early hours.( it is easier to order your drinks if you can speak a little Spanish)
