Holiday villa for rent in Salobrena

VILLA MARIA (LET AS 2 OR 3 BEDROOMS DEPENDING ON REQUIREMENTS) on a hillside, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea approximately 100 metres away, well equipped/comfortably furnished. There are steps up from the parking area to the entrance, then the main living area is all on one level and comprises open plan living and dining room with log burner, satellite TV, video player, radio, stereo and DVD,ceiling fan. The fully fitted kitchen has an oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave;dishwasher,washing machine and breakfast bar. Three double bedrooms, two with double beds,fitted wardrobes and ceiling fans and one with twin beds,fitted wardrobes and a ceiling fan.There is a toilet/bathroom/shower in the main villa.

The studio flat is below the main accommodation, has a double bed, ensuite shower and toilet. Included are microwave,kettle and chiller. It is completely self contained with its own entrance and has access over the pool area via french doors. This bedroom is only used when required for rentals for 5/6 people or for those requiring more space and therefore subject to an additional charge of £100 p.w.The prices page has full details of our rates.

There is a large terrace (which has an outdoor table and chairs and parasol) accessed from either the lounge or the kitchen and this is partly covered. Steps lead down from here to the secluded large pool terrace which has a built in barbecue and two shaded seating areas with table and benches(including parasols);6 sun loungers and 6 outdoor chairs;there is also a poolside shower. The pool is 7m x 4 m. Around and beyond the poolside there are mature gardens which include palm and fruit trees and exotic shrubs and cacti, cycads, jacaranda, hibiscus, prickly pears, a lemon and an orange tree, pomegranates,clementine oranges,mango,avocado,pawpaw(papaya) and sisal. Although there is some road noise, this is far outweighed by the beauty of the location.

The lower terrace below the pool area has some palm trees and fruit trees.

All linen and towels are provided except beach towels. Property is cleaned on day of arrival. If you are staying more than a week and require a towel and linen change, this can be provided as an extra service through our agents in Salobrena at your own expense.

Regrettably no pets and no smoking allowed.

SKIING (caters for range - beginner to more experienced) up to end April only 60 minutes drive away in the Sierra Nevada; underground parking, lifts into ski village, restaurants, hotels/hire shops. There is a 9 hole GOLF course between Salobrena and Motril called Los Moriscos. That is the golf course that is nearby to the villa. The 18 hole golf course is a 40 minute drive away at Torre del Mar called La Bavaria.

CHOICE OF THREE AIRPORTS(GRANADA,MALAGA,ALMERIA)

Granada Airport is under an hour away. Malaga Airport, approximately 70 minutes drive away, Almeria, 2 hours away.(However,please allow plenty of time for flights in the event of traffic jams).Use of car essential.

Salobrena with its Moorish castle and restaurants, shops and beaches are a 5 minute car drive away. From the villa you can see a small cove and beach. During the summer it has a restaurant/bar and can be reached by car in a few minutes. Almunecar (with lots of tapas bars) is 15 minutes drive, Motril (hypermarket) is 10 minutes drive and Granada with the fabulous Alhambra only an hour away. Not far from the Alpujarras either.One of the few places in Europe where you can sunbathe in the morning and ski in the afternoon and vice versa.

A deposit (50% of total rental which is non refundable) is requested on booking.In the event of a cancellation two months before rental due to commence, 100% charge applies.(You are advised to take out a travel cancellation policy). Final payment must be received before arrival. In addition please be advised that there is a £150 damage deposit which will be retained and refunded less any breakages after the rental.

Changeover day is Saturday departure by 10:00; Arrival 17:00 hours (unless previously arranged otherwise).
