Apartment Santa’Ana consists of the entire top floor of an old coaching inn in the village of Soto-Iruz. Newly converted, it contains 3 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, one en-suite, and a large open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. There are 2 south facing terraces adjacent to the independent entrance to the apartment.

Set in the heart of the picturesque Pas Valley, Casa Santa'Ana is next door to the 16th century Monasterio de Nuestra Señora del Soto. Nearby there is a cycle path and footpath which runs the entire length of the valley. There are numerous picnic spots beside the river. If required, we can arrange bicycle hire. The village has a few small shops and bars. Nearby there are several restaurants most of which offer lunch for around €10 including wine. The spa town of Puente Viesgo is 5 minutes drive away. There are many bars and restaurants here. Also the famous prehistoric caves of Monte Castillo. The Balneario y Gran Hotel de Puente Viesgo has all the facilities you would expect from a Spa Hotel. These are open to non-residents and the Templo del Agua with it's pool, sauna and jacuzzis is a lovely place to relax in.

The nearest large town of Torrelavega has many supermarkets to choose from as well as a bustling market each Thursday. The beaches are within an easy drive of around 25 minutes. There is surfing available at several of them and schools where surfing equipment can be hired. The capital, Santander, is only half an hour away and has all the usual amenities that you would expect from a city.

The mountains of the Picos de Europa are also very close by. If you visit in the winter, the ski resort of Alto Campoo is about an hour's drive away. There are several golf courses nearby, including that of Pedreña, famous as being the home course of Seve Ballesteros.

October in Cantabria

The weather was glorious, the apartment is very spacious and well equipped, clean and modern. They even laid on a fiesta!!

Modern comfortable apartment

We had a very happy stay with Will. The apartment was very well equiped and has a lovely modern spacious interior. Everything worked well. We were most impressed!
