Wonderful stay

Maria, the landlady showed us this property in October and we were very keen to rent it, however someone else came along who wanted it for longer and obviously we understood and let it go. Not deterred though, Maria arranged for us to rent her parents house, next door to this one and very similar. She has been wonderful throughout our stay and we've had a wonderful six months here in a great house. We became friendly with the tenant in this house and can confirm it is just as good as ours. The only two downsides have not been related to the house itself directly. The first was that the winter (January/February)was colder than we expected and it was hard to get the house warm enough. The second was that the afternoon wind in April has been a real shock! It is too windy to be on the beach (unless you're wearing a wet-suit, like the wind and kite surfers who love it, of course), even though it is plenty warm enough. The mornings are great but then, usually around two in the afternoon, the wind picks up. By the evening though, it is usually calm again abd we've been able to sit outside for supper. Everything in the house is of a high standard and it was really good having a proper kitchen to work in. Thank you Maria, your sister Aure and your family for making our stay so special. I would be happy to recommend either house to anyone.
