Description: |
Spanish holiday apartment
Vilanova is lovely unspoilt small town with beaches and marina and a great summer promenade life. It is 30 minutes on the train south of Barcelona and 5 minutes from Sitges. It has magnificent festivals throughout the year but especially at the start of August. Beaches are very good with a great deal of variety - large open beaches as well as small coves. There is a great variety of local restaurants A typical lunchtime menu is 8-10 euros for a three course meal with the wine thrown in. All desired local amenities.
The residential area in which the apartment is located is very good. It is a mixture of quality individual houses and low rise apartments. It is 15 min walk to the local rail station which has a direct line to Barcelona (30-40min). There is a bus beside the apartment which goes to the station (10m) and town centre (5min). The local patisserie in the next road and supplies may be obtained. Local supermarkets are 3 minutes away. Tennis courts etc at beach. Beaches are at 200 meters.

Transport:
Easyjet (Barcelona airport ) and Ryan Air (Reus-Salou airport) terminals close by. Ryan Air (Girona) airport also within reach though further out. Excellent public transport (no car needed)
Transport from Barcelona airport. It can be done by train (half an hour) from airport and changing at the first station Prat and going south (via Sitges) - cost 2.20 euros.
Transport from Reus airport. One can get to Villanova by train from Reus or Taragona station (about 2.50 euros). Half an hour train journey,
Beside the apartment there is a local bus that goes to the centre of town (5 min) train station (10min).
