Holiday villa for rent in Ardales

Villa José is a great value, well-equipped villa which comfortably sleeps up to 4 people. It has a private, gated pool, sun loungers, outdoor seating, bbq and terrace.
It has a pretty terrace covered in vines for shade in the summer months.
There is music available for enjoying outside.
Inside there are 2 bedrooms- one double and 1 twin bedded room, both with air conditioning available, a full bathroom, with bath, bidet, shower etc and a comfotable lounge/diner and kitchen. There is a sofa bed in the lounge

For the winter months, there is a log fire place and an initial load of logs is provided.
There is a large TV and a music centre and a selection of English books.

The kitchen is well equipped, with full oven, hob, fridge freezer and washing machine.

The villa is ideally situated- only 5 minutes walk to the centre of Ardales, which is a lovely, friendly pueblo blanco high in the mountains above Malaga, on the edge of the Andalucian lake district.
The village has 2 banks ,indoor market with 2 fishmongewrs, a butcher and fruit and vegeatable store, supermarkets and other stores and a good choice of very reasonably priced tapas bars and restaurants.
We provide details of all bars and restaurants and have negoiated special deals at some of them for our clients.
This is indeed the "REAL SPAIN" , but is only 45 minutes from Malaga airport the Costa del Sol, so a day at the beach is a very easy option.
The area is extremely beautiful and you can swim, fish and hire pedalos and canoes on the lakes- only 5 minutes drive away.
There are some lovely walks and we can organise guided walks with a qualified guide if required.- Normal price 40€ per person per half day- 50€ for a group if booking through us.
The village has a museum and tourist office and guided tours of the nearby prehistoric caves can be arranged- we can book for you if required.
The neighbouring village of Carratraca has a luxury thermal spa, dating back from Roman times, in its hey-day in the 19th century and recently modernised. There are 5 thermal pools and 90 min session is only 15€- well worth a trip. Full beauty tratments available
The area is popular with climbers- only 20 minutes from the world famous El Chorro gorge, only 10 mins to Turon. another up and coming climbing place.

The area is also popular with bird watchers and mountain bikers.
There are 2 mountain bikes available for hire at the villa, for only 10€ a day, or 30€ a week each.

If you wish to explore more widely, Granada, Cordoba, Seville and Ronda are all within easy driving distance.
If you wish to visit Granada, we would recommend booking on-line before you leave home to avoid disappointment.
El Torcal is another place of interest- about 45mins away- an amazing geological area- see photos
There is a good bus service to Malaga and Ronda- only 45 minutes to either, if you prefer to have a day out without the car.
