This air conditioned, 3/4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, house, with 3 terraces, furnished to a very high standard, stands at the very top of Los Altos and is one of only a few to benefit from a fabulous Tower Room, with its own 17 foot terrace, offering the finest views available from the whole development. All terraces and rooms have panoramic views over the beautiful bay of La Herradura and the mountains behind. Shared pool, paddle tennis.
Approximately 60 minutes drive from both Malaga and Granada airports and lying between Nerja and Almu�ecar is the small town of La Herradura, the horseshoe, named after the shape of the beautiful bay it overlooks, and on the Cerro Gordo headland at the side of this bay is the development of Carmenes del Mar.
Everything that attracts us to the Mediterranean is here, the climate with its average 320 days of sunshine each year; the culture and the history, but this part of Spain is still relatively free of the large crowds of tourists.
Winter offers much from this spot; you can enjoy the winter sun when things are dull, cold and grey at home; or within an hour or so drive are the city of Granada and also the Sierra Nevada where you can enjoy the winter sport of skiing.
The accommodation is furnished to a very high standard, sleeps 8, and comprises 3/4 bedrooms, one en-suite, 2 bathrooms, separate toilet, living/dining room, kitchen, garage, three terraces and a fabulous Tower room: all rooms enjoy the benefit of air conditioning.
Entry is via the first floor, with a garage, two bedrooms - one with its own terrace - and a bathroom.
Downstairs is the main living area, comprising the lounge/diner, kitchen, utility area, master bedroom (en-suite), separate toilet and 30 foot by 18 foot (max) terrace with covered area.
The Tower room, situated on the top floor, has its own 17 foot terrace; this room has been furnished to provide an extra living area or alternatively, with its sofa bed it can be used as a fourth bedroom.
Immediately behind the house is the access road, which leads to just a few more houses; this is a landscaped no through road, which offers plenty of parking and is bordered by National Parkland.
There is a shared swimming pool and also paddle tennis courts.

Local Activities: Water sports, including a diving school, are offered in the bay of La Herradura and also, nearby, an Aqua Park, hang gliding, horse riding and walking are amongst the many activities on offer. Within half an hours drive can be found the choice of 3 golf courses. Lots of small coves and beaches, including a naturist beach, are within easy reach. The Cerro Gordo headland is adjacent and offers beautiful wooded walks.
Not to be missed are the wonderful caves at Nerja, which offer an attraction for all the family and tucked away in the hills are the traditional small white villages with their typical Spanish restaurants and bars.
La Herradura itself is a typical small Spanish Town with lots of alleys and side streets offering a wide range of restaurants, bars and clubs. Nearby is the Marina del Este which is well worth a visit and has a range of restaurants where you can sit and enjoy a drink or a meal whilst watching the various Marina activities.
