Almanzar de Bubion is a large house with 3 independent self-catering flats, set at the higher edge of its own 5,000m2 "finca". It is registered with the Andalucia Office of Tourism in Granada.

Flat 2 offers spectacular and uninterrupted views of the Poqueira Valley and the high peaks of Sierra Nevada. It has its own South-facing balcony and is comprehensively furnished to high standards in order to provide every comfort.

There are three spacious bedrooms with twin beds and plenty of storage and cupboard space. There is a bathroom and a separate toilet and washbasin.

Linen and towels are provided and the kitchen is fully equipped. A travel cot and a high chair are availble on request. The flat is professionally cleaned once a week.

Bubion is the most beautiful and most sought after of the historic white villages of La Alpujarra of Granada. Next to its 16c. church stand the remains of an Arab fortified tower. There is also a typical house/museum off the townhall square.

Though tranquil and away from the tourists bus route, the village boasts some of the best hotels, restaurants and bars of the region and provides excellent shopping for local handicrafts and local produce. It has cyber cafes and supermarkets.

There are weekly street markets in most villages of La Alpujarra. The largest being in Orgiva, some 25mns away.

Many sporting activities are at hand: paragliding, horseback riding, rambling, trekking, climbing, mountain biking etc.

Classes of art, photography, dancing, music, yoga and languages are available within a short radius.

Granada City with its famous Alhambra Palace is about an hour away; so is the Costa Tropical. The ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada and Malaga airport are at about 2 hours' drive. Granada airport at just over an hour.

Apart from national and bank holiday weekends (Puentes), Christmas and New year as well as Easter (Semana Santa), the minimum rent considered is per week.

I have chosen Bubion because, among the white villages of the Poqueira Valley, it is the quietest and most authentic, though it boasts some of the best restaurants in the area. I have chosen Almanzar de Bubion above all for its location where you can be as active or as quiet as you wish and its incomparable views. I have furnished all the flats with the comfort of my guests in mind.
