The villa is located off the main road down a country track, so peace and tranquility are assured. It is set on the side of a hill with an amazing view over the valley. It is 1km away from the boundary of the beautiful Sierra Almijara national park. The picturesque white village of Competa is just 3km away. Here you will find picturesque narrow streets, historic churches and pleasant plazas with traditional cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. There are marked footpaths which leave the village and are perfect for walking in the pine covered mountains above.
The surrounding area is marked with tiny traditional villages, set high in the hills, where life carries on barely touched by the hustle and bustle of modern Spain.
Down on the coast you can visit Nerja, a small traditional, yet elegant resort town, spectacularly set where the mountains reach the blue Mediterranean sea. It is popular with international and Spanish visitors alike. In it's secluded bays you will find great beaches lined with traditional restaurants selling seafood caught by local fishermen. In its tranquil,traditional streets and plazas you will find sophisticated boutiques and designer shops, and a wide range of quiet, family friendly bars and restaurants.
The villa has a 7m 3.5m pool, surrounded with a terrace for lounging and enjoying the sun. There is a shaded area too. Sun loungers are provided along with a table and chairs for al fresco dining. There is also a barbecue.
The villa itself is furnished and equipped to an extremely high standard. The bedrooms (2 double and one twin) are comfortable and spacious and are beautifully and thoughtfully designed. There is a Large living area with comfortable leather sofas, and stylish dining table and chairs. The TV provides all the UK Freeview channels plus a few more, and UK radio stations too. There is a DVD and CD player and a dock for iPod or other MP3 player. There is a wood burning stove for cosy winter evenings and should it ever be needed it also has Gas Central Heating
The Kitchen is modern and stylish and has an Fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing Machine, electric oven and hob.
Upon arrival you will be met by myself, or my agents who are English but speak good Spanish, and have lived in the area for many years. They will tell you how everything works and be there to assist during your holiday.
We have been renting out Villa Hestia for 8 years. We hope that you will chose to come and holiday here, and join the many people who have come to visit over the years. About 30% of our guests enjoy it so much they come again, some several times! Who knows, perhaps you will too?
Changeover day is usually Saturday, but outside of peak season alternative arrangements are possible. Please do enquire about this if necessary.
Takeover time is usually 17.00 although often other times can be arranged if this is more convenient. VERY late arrivals may incur a €35 charge to cover additional costs.Please enquire if you need further information regarding this
