San Miguel de Abona is located right in the middle of the main activities in Tenerife South: Trekking & walking around El Teide, which is the highest mountain in Spain and, the seaside with main water sport activities in El Médano (wind surf & Kite surf) and surf in Las Americas. There are a couple of tourist atractions like Aquapark and Siampark.

The perfect scape from the tourist trail. Planned around a central patio with a lush tropical garden. San Miguel is located between mountains and Sea. Close to beach and the best golf sites of Tenerife South, like Golf del Sur.
The Villa offers 2 double bedrooms + iron stove, 1 bathroom with old style bath, huge lounge with double high ceiling and a fire place, 1 toilet, dining area and kitchen with old style floors and a stone-designed washing basin, wooden-furnitured terrace with views of the sea and the mountains (you can even see the snow peaks of El Teide volcano during the short winter). Central patio with aljibe and tropical fish and plants (bananas, papaya, coconuts, palm trees, etc).
All the house's roof consists of traditional hand made tiles. walls of 60 cm thick.


Night life activities: El Medano, Los Cristianos and Las Americas.

Top sea food village: Los Abrigos, which is the nearest seaside village, just before El Médano

Top meat food: Restaurante La era de las Mozas in Valle de San Lorenzo

Lovely March holiday in San Miguel

This is a pretty and romantic Canarian village house - the patio garden planted with banana trees and palms is lovely to sit out in at any time of day and evening. Bathroom has lovely free-standing bath with beautiful hand-painted tiles and limitless hot water on demand. Both bedrooms and sitting room are spacious and pretty. The whole house has been decorated and furnished simply but beautifully, and freshly whitewashed. Internet temporarily not working when we were there, but almost every cafe has Wi-fi and will give you their password in exchange for a cup of coffee. Twenty minutes to the (windy) kite-surfers' beach at El Medano, where there is a colourful and laid back surfers' beach bar at the near end, which serves a variety of inexpensive food including smoked salmon salad, pizza, and greek yogurt with fruit and honey, plus large glasses of cafe macchiato to warm you after a swim. San Miguel is a quiet place, probably more suited to couples and groups of friends than families, as children may like somewhere where they can meet other kids and splash around in a pool. The 'Four Corners' is an attractive small hotel with restaurant and bar in San Miguel, where the proprietor will serve you delicious liqueur coffees for a small sum. Car essential, Mount Teide one hour's drive, Puerto Colon for whale watching trips 30 mins.
