Holiday apartment for rent in Alicante

Santi is a true artist and he loves working with old wood – old doors and timber that other people through away is turned into a lovely headboard, a bench or a doorpost. He carves out shelfs in the mountain walls … He made our guest apartment into the charming gem we wished it to be.

It was up here in Santa Cruz overlooking el Barrio we began our Spanish adventure. We fell in love with the genuine charm, the privileged location, the views and the easy and free communication with neighbors and people passing by, with the wonderful hillside citypark "La Ereta" on the slopes of the Monte Benacantil crownd by Castillo Santa Barbara, with the view over the city and the Med …!

In the evening we enjoy a peaceful cava and listen to the soft hum from people hanging out down there in el Barrio. We might go down to eat a few tapas and to drink a tinto in one of the hundereds of bars and restaurants, or we might go to the theater, or to one of the wonderful museums, or is there a bull fight tonight or is something going on in the new concert hall or is there still more shopping to be done, or …..? Everything within 5 to 10 minutes leisurely walk from la Cueva con Vista.

Maybe we decide to relax tonight and just enjoy the coolness of the evening in the “terazza” in front of la Cueva.
You have probably spent the day under a parasol on the beach or swimming in the warm water of the Med and slipped into el barrio for a reasonably priced Menu del Día. Or have you been playing golf (5 minutes walk to the underground and then 10 minutes to the clubhouse).

Don´t forget: the market hall closes at 14.00 and there is no fish available in Mondays. Lunch is from 14.00 and that you will be alone in the restaurant if you are there before 21.30.
