Monterosa, our beautiful home on the shore of Lake Vinuela, named after the spectacularly colourful mountain sunsets, to be viewed from the terrace with an evening drink in your hand. The villa is surrounded by a typically Mediterranean garden, filled with fruit trees and sub-tropical plants. It is in an area of outstanding beauty in the region of the Axarquia and is comprehensively equipped with all of the things you would expect in a luxury villa, and more, including a table tennis table. We are close to the villages of La Viñuela and Los Romanes where supermarkets, restaurants and bars will be found, with the beaches of the Mediterranean just a short drive away.

Our large garden is completely fenced and gated, making it an exciting place for children to explore and play, it has numerous seating and sunbathing areas, the swimming pool being larger than most has the benefit of Roman steps down into the shallow end. There is a covered outdoor dining terrace, the perfect setting to enjoy the stunning views across Lake Viñuela to Mount Maroma (2085m) and the Almijara and Tejeda mountain ranges whose changing colours have to be experienced. We have plenty of car parking space and a carport to keep your car cool in the shade.

Notes
Accommodation:
Hallway: Entering the front door there are stairs to the upper level, a guest cloakroom and a door leading to a utility room housing the washing machine, iron and ironing board. Fitted smoke alarm,

Lounge:
The well furnished living/dining room has a fan assisted log-burning fire, a marble dining table that seats six as does the 'L' shaped sofa. We have Sky TV, a DVD player, a music system and a selection of books for your enjoyment whilst staying in the villa. Patio doors lead out to one of the terraces and garden which affords stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. This room also has air-conditioning and insect screens.

Bedrooms:
There are two downstairs bedrooms, one with a double bed, and one with twins, the twin has an en-suite, both have air-conditioning, built in wardrobes, bedside cabinets and lights. Patio doors lead from one of the bedrooms out on to the terrace, and between the two there is an adjacent family bathroom. All windows have insect screens. Upstairs there is a double bedroom with; air-conditioning, wardrobe, bedside cabinets and lights, and along the landing a further single bedroom. Patio doors with insect screens lead out onto the upper terrace with tremendous views over the lake.

Kitchen:
The modern kitchen is well equipped, with granite topped work surfaces, fridge freezer, integrated dishwasher, a built-in pull-out electric oven, a microwave, a ceramic hob and patio doors leading out on to the covered dining terrace. Fitted smoke alarm.

Bathrooms:
Both family bathrooms, one on either floor, are fully tiled, and have baths, showers, WC's and hand basins. There is also an en-suite shower room to one of the downstairs bedrooms.

Outside:
There is a large heated swimming pool, a Mediterranean style garden with flowering shrubs and fruit trees, with ample car parking for several cars, including a car-port for that much needed shade.

Other:
There are a selection of books, toys and games for guests use.

Cleaning/towels/linen/cleaning service:
Due to airline luggage restrictions, linen and all towels, including pool towels are provided by the owners. The villa is thoroughly cleaned prior to occupation and again in accordance with length of stay. Additional cleaning is provided as required but will be subject to extra charge.

Notes on accommodation:
There is no smoking inside the villa, however ashtrays are provided on the terraces. Baby equipment can be provided at extra cost, e.g. cots, highchair, car seat, buggy, sterilizer etc. A golf club hire service is available upon request. We are unable to accommodate pets.

Notes
Prices are in Pounds Sterling per week, and bookings will be confirmed upon payment of a 25% non-refundable deposit with the remainder to be paid in full, 6 weeks before your holiday start date. On receipt of your enquiry, we will hold your requested dates for ten days to allow your deposit to reach our bank account.

Welcome packs will be provided with each arrival of a week or more, and a ?full shop? can be pre-ordered by email, at cost, plus a £25 surcharge. We will require a £200 refundable security deposit on your arrival, which will be returned to you on completion of a final clean and check. Only people named on the booking form will be allowed to stay in the villa, and the maximum number of guests must not exceed eight and an infant.
Changeover day:
We have no fixed changeover days and we will always try to be flexible to suit your flights and arrival times, however, when it is unavoidable and to allow time for a proper clean; we would ask that you vacate by 11.00 and not arrive before your convenience, there will be a surcharge of 30Euros for guests arriving and departing between the hours of 00.01 - 07.00.
