THE PROPERTY
Located within this prestigious, landscaped development, the apartment is the lead apartment of the 'Collection Private' group at Villa Gadea. Nestling between the mountains and the sea; everything at Altea la Bahia, our luxury, air-conditioned apartment has been considered to ensure your holiday is easy, comfortable and memorable.

A private garden wraps-round all three sides of the apartment offering all-day sun. Overlooking a pool with sea views, the garden is raised above its surroundings providing privacy whilst allowing easy access to the pool and an eye to be kept on the children. When you are tired of simply relaxing in the sun, take a stroll through the verdant, landscaped grounds of semi-tropical palms and hibiscus to the secluded beach with crystal clear water and summer beach bars. Or wander down for a drink at the 5* Melia Villa Gadea Hotel and watch the sun set over the bay. At Villa Gadea everything for the perfect holiday is within your reach!

LOUNGE, TERRACES & GROUNDS
• The spacious lounge / dining room has a pair of comfortable sofas and a dining area seating up to eight. Full-width double-glazed double doors lead from living and bedrooms onto a broad covered terrace and private garden with mountain views for lazy afternoons and mood-lighting for evenings.
• Sony 32' flat screen, HD TV, HD satellite decoder box with UK & international TV & radio channels, Sharp HQ DVD/ CD with 5.1 surround sound, over 100 DVDs for all the family + WiFi (by arrangement). Separate Pioneer HQ I-pod / I-phone / MP3 player /FM radio with surround sound & CD library. Wide selection of CDs and DVD films and programs for all ages, stereo, radio, games, books, maps, local information.
• The terrace flows round to an private, open-air Jacuzzi Spa where you can luxuriate with a cool drink under clear Mediterranean skies.
• There is easy seating with upholstered hardwood steamer chairs and comfortable loungers to soak up the sun or rest in the shade, as well as a large outside dining table seating up to eight under a large umbrella.
• A Weber gas BBQ makes for easy outdoor meals.
• Lightweight aliminium loungers are provided for use by the pool.
• Villa Gadea is built on an undulating site and our apartment is set on a rise. You can walk to the beach along paths (with steps) that meander through the development or via a quiet private road. The grounds cover a large area and there is direct access from the development, through private gates, to the secluded La Olla beach. Each building has its own dedicated pool with underwater lighting. There are childrens playgrounds, one behind the beach and one beside the Villa Gadea hotel. A walkie-talkie is provided so that guests can keep in touch, whether at the beach or visiting elsewhere in the grounds or hotel.

BEDROOMS
• Main bedroom is double-aspect, it has a luxurious queen-size bed with smooth hand-ironed White Company cotton sheets, and direct access to the outside Jacuzzi spa, shower and SW terrace via full-width glass doors. The room has spacious built-in wardrobes; a dressing table and stool; full-length mirror and hairdryer. A sunny en-suite has another round Jacuzzi spa bath with thermostatic, power shower, two washbasins and a door to a separate toilet and bidet. Delicious Molton-Brown toiletries are provided for your enjoyment.
• The second bedroom has twin beds that can be zip-linked to form a super-king, dressing table and hairdryer. Wide glass doors open onto its own covered terrace catching the morning light, comfortable hyacinth chairs provide a place to relax in private.
• The third bedroom has twin beds and south facing windows overlooking the pool which is floodlit at night. If this room is not required for sleeping it can be set up as a study with a desk.
• The family bathroom has a thermostatic, power shower (no temperature fluctuations) over the bath, a bidet, toilet and basin. Molton-Brown toiletries are provided.

KITCHEN-BREAKFAST ROOM
The kitchen-breakfast room is ideal for sunny mornings, in the bay window, a round granite table and seating provides a handy place for a quick snack. A fully-equipped Siematic kitchen with granite worktops, Siemens appliances and breakfast bar to dining area so the cook is never left out.

• The five star Melia Villa Gadea Hotel, next to the development, is open to non-residents. It offers a pampering Thalasso spa with day membership, gym, tennis court, outdoor pools and a Kids Club. The hotel has restaurants, bars, and regular evening entertainment. There are 2 childrens playgrounds beside the development, behind the beach, and other play equipment on the sandy beach at Altea.
• The five star Melia Altea Hills, 2kms away, is open to non-residents. It offers a spa, gym, sauna, Jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis, squash and golf.

GAS & SAFETY
The apartment has a mains gas supply so there is no need for you to purchase gas bottles (butanos). There is a gas boiler for hot water and underfloor central heating. This is sited outside of the apartment in an external utility room. There is a smoke alarm & fire extinguisher in the apartment.
All cooking appliances are electric.

SECURITY
Villa Gadea is a secure resort with entry through manned electronic gates. There is private underground parking accessed by remote control and a lift takes you direct to your door. The development has 24 hour on-site security and CCTV. The building has has high-tec soundproofing. The apartment has video-entry and electronically controlled security shutters. Also a digital wall safe.

LOCATION
The cosmopolitan village of Altea is one of the most charming and fascinating on the Costa Blanca. Along the esplanade interesting boutiques and shops jostle with restaurants and bars. In the old quarter, narrow lanes of whitewashed houses and gourmet restaurants wind up the hill to a cobbled square with bustling pavement cafes overlooked by the distinctive blue ceramic domes of the church. In summer the old town is totally pedestrianised and the streets around the church are taken up with arts and crafts stalls where local artists exhibit their work.

ACTIVITIES
As well as the crystal clear sea and blue flag beaches with all the usual watersports, the area has plenty of activities within easy reach to fill a family holiday full of fun and excitement. * Terra Mitica - a magnificent new theme park where ancient civilisations come to life. * Terra Natura - a theme park introducing the nature of different continents. * Aqualandia - a water park with rides and fun for everyone. * Mundomare - a marine park with dolphins. * Fonts de Algar - a natural spring where you can bath in rock pools and climb up waterfalls.

GENERAL: the apartment has cold/hot air-conditioning, underfloor heating, marble floors, acoustic soundproofing, secure underground parking, 24 hour security, CCTV, video-entry, security shutters, digital safe.

MOBILITY: The grounds are undulating with winding paths & steps. It may not be ideal for people with reduced mobility. Please enquire.

BEDROOMS: the beds have top quality Vi-Spring mattresses, feather and duck down duvets and pillows (2 per person); fine cotton sheets; fluffy colour-toned towels for each guest; pool-towels and hair-dryers. Additionally, 2 anti-allergen pillows and 1 anti-allergen duvet are avilable on request.
BABIES: wooden drop-sided cot with Coolmax mattress, bedding, baby monitor and high-chair available for a supplement. A play-pen is available at no charge.
KITCHEN: eye-level oven/grill and microwave/grill, ceramic hob, extractor and lights, fridge/freezer, 2nd fridge, dishwasher, waste-disposal, electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster, juicer, food processor and radio/CD player.

Notes
A deposit of 30% is required on booking. The remaining balance, plus €300 refundable security deposit, is required 8 weeks prior to date of arrival. The security deposit will be returned to you within 2 weeks of departure, less any deductions for breakages or losses.

We provide: bed linen, towels, tea towels, kitchen towels, pool towels, additional towels for the garden loungers, lightweight loungers for the pool. Weekly linen change. During longer lets, linen & maid service is by arrangement.

So that you can get straight down to enjoying yourselves and to minimise that annoying cost of buying packs of household & grocery items that you might only use a couple of times, we provide: washing up liquid, laundry wash/rinse, dishwasher tablets, bathroom toiletries.
And as well as fresh milk, bread, butter, water, tea, coffee & sugar, the kitchen is stocked with dry goods, flour, rice, pasta, spices etc.

SUPPLEMENTS APPLY: WiFi, cot, baby monitor, high-chair, late arrivals, extra guests. Please ask.

CLEANING: the apartment is professionally cleaned prior to each let. And weekly during short lets. Extra maid service is available. The final clean is charged at €90. Additional cleaning may be required following a long let.

AGENT: our English agent-caretaker lives locally and will ensure that your stay is trouble free.
