Description: |
Our modern spacious apartment has been completely refitted to become a tasteful holiday (and eventually, retirement!) home for ourselves and family. It has 2 bedrooms ( 1 double, 2 singles), modern bathroom (bath/shower/bidet), fitted kitchen (including washing machine, but no microwave/dishwasher) and a lounge with balcony and shaded terrace. It is the ideal destination for families looking for a warm friendly Spanish holiday. An easy walk of a few minutes takes you to the port with its shops, banks, bars and restaurants. A few minutes the other way takes you to the marina with more bars, restaurants - and boats! Literally a few steps in either direction from the front of Pueblo Salado will take you to the sandy beaches, with more secluded ones a short drive away.
The complex is situated in the small Spanish town of Puerto de Marrazón, easily accessible from both Murcia and Alicante airports (within a 50 minute or 1½ hour drive). Transfers to and from the airports can be arranged for those not wishing to hire a car. On the doorstep of Pueblo Salado you will find numerous stretches of sandy beaches with clear blue sea alongside many secluded coves. The area is known to have its own microclimate making it one of the sunniest spots along the coast. PUEBLO SALADO is a GATED and SECURE, traffic-free complex, which is constantly patrolled, making it ideal for families.
For those who enjoy an active holiday, there are plenty of walks as well as water sports: diving, sailing, fishing and especially snorkelling around the rocky outcrops.Stronger swimmers can head over to La Isla where the underwater views are fabulous! (in high season you can rent a pedalo to get there!) The golf lover is particularly well served with local 9 and 18 hole courses; La Manga is a short drive away those who wish to indulge themselves! Cultural needs are catered for in Lorca, Cartagena, and Murcia . The latter two will cater for the dedicated fashion shoppers! The port area of Cartagena is well worth a visit - sometimes the large cruise ships dock there.
Please be aware that this is a very Spanish holiday complex and that in peak season in the summer it can be very busy, with entertainment around the pools and a pool-side bar, late night activities and an afternoon siesta which is strictly enforced, including no use of the pools from 3.30pm - 5.30pm. During July and August, it is more suitable for those clients wanting a lively holiday, although great for children! (And we enjoy the family atmosphere!) At all other times, it is much more quiet and relaxing.

PUEBLO SALADO has three swimming pools (see photos), one of which is covered for winter use, a floodlit petanque court, and beautifully maintained grounds. During peak periods, there is a poolside bar selling drinks, snacks, ice cream, tapas etc and also a small shop for daily essentials.
THE APARTMENT has: 2 bedrooms ( 1 double, 1 two singles), large built-in wardrobes in both modern bathroom (bath/shower/bidet), fitted kitchen-washing machine. fridge/freezer, oven with rotisserie, gas hob lounge with balcony and shaded terrace lounge with corner unit of 2 seater and 3 seater sofas wall unit with TV/DVD player/ CD player/radio private balcony overlooking terrace extending dining table and chairs patio table and chairs for balcony mobile gas heater for cooler evenings (all gas appliances safety tested in April 2004) sun loungers/beach chairs/parasol provided access to roof terrace/solarium (Beach towels NOT provided) We respectfully ask you not to smoke in our apartment ALL UTENSILS/LINEN/TOWELS NEW IN 2004 ALL REDECORATED IN 2004 |
