Gran Alacant is conveniently located on the Costa Blanca only 10 minutes drive from Alicante Airport and 20 minutes from the splendid town of Alicante which lies just to the north. The Spanish seaside town of Santa Pola with its weekly market, comprehensive amenities, port and trips to the island of Tabarca is only a few miles to the south. Water sports including jet skis, windsurfing and kayaks are avilable in season.

This house is set in an attractive and established modern urbanisation known as Altomar 1 in Gran Alacant and is within easy walking distance of all amenities including shops, bars and restaurants. Banks and a medical centre are also close at hand. A local weekly market is held on a Thursday. Whilst competitively priced car hire is available from the airport, a transfer by taxi can be easily arranged and the area has good public transport facilities. If preferred, a private collection service can be offered on request.

The communal swimming pool area with views out to the Mediterranean sea is set in a beautifully landscaped private garden and also includes a children’s pool. Tennis courts and recreational area with childrens play equipment were completed in 2006. The beach, backed by sand dunes, with soft white sand and fine views across the bay to Alicante and its castle is only five minutes away by car. The beach stretches along to the popular resort of Los Arenales. For the golfers, there are golf courses in Alicante.

The children will enjoy Terra Mitica theme park with a great selection of rides just outside Benidorm approximately 50 minutes drive away. At Mundomar (Sea World) in the same area, you will find dolphins along with sea lions, penguins, flamingos and other exotic animals. Adjacent to this is Aqualandia Water Park which provides a fun day out in the summer. Heading inland and up into the mountains there are some splendid scenic runs and trips to hilltop villages. The town of Elche is also worth a visit with its cathedrals and palm forest.

love it!

Just came back last week. Stayed for 11 days. Would recommend to families, quite and safe area. Great house, everything as descibed. Only short walk to the pool. The only thing I would say to David is to get a washing maschine with a "quick wash" program ;) Traveling with 3 small babies means a lot washing. Will be back next year!

our stay in Gran alacant

My family Had great holiday in Gran Alacant! The house had everything we needed and more,and was close to the pool which my 3 children loved.we could walk to shops and restaurants,and we had some lovely meals out.we used the road train which stops at ten points in the town,very convenient for us,and of course the children enjoyed it.If you are lookin for a nice holiday to relax and enjoy with children,Gran alacant is not a big tourist town,but has plenty of playparks and some amusements to keep them entertained. we all enjoyed our stay and of course the beautiful weather too
