Our lovingly restored town house lies within the walls of the 8th century Moorish Castle in the historic quarter of Iznajar known as "La Villa". It faces the 15th century church and has panoramic views over the village, lake and mountains.

Casa de la Villa is a unique property offering the best of contemporary living and Andalusian rustic charm. Recently restored, it is furnished in a contemporary style to complement the character of the house. The living area is open plan with modern kitchen and dining area. Features include an open staircase, gallery landing, original 15th century stone wall, exposed beamed ceilings and terracotta floors.


Both bedrooms are en-suite each retaining original features: The master bedroom has breathtaking views over the village towards the lake and mountains. The 2nd bedroom, which can sleep two as twin or double, has a spiral staircase and vaulted ceiling carved out of the rock beneath the house. There is a quality 4’ sofa bed in the living area, which could sleep 2 children or an adult.

There is a patio off the kitchen area which is ideal for al fresco dining with great views over the lake towards the mountains. You will find a library of books, maps, music, movies and games for you to enjoy. The local library, swimming pool, churches and plazas with bars and shops are just short walks away from the house making Casa de la Villa an ideal base to explore the village as well as surrounding area. Other conveniences include central heating* (a small charge is made for this), washing machine, dishwasher.

The Village & Area
White washed houses and narrow winding lanes, a castle dating from the 8th century, and church from the 15th. A village where the it almost seems that time stands still. Perched at the top hill it has spectacular views over a 32 km long lake. The nearest large cities are Antequera 25 minutes away and Malaga. Granada, Cordoba and Seville are within easy reach.
There is a sandy beach on the lake 5 mins. drive away or within walking distance if you prefer. there is sailing, water sports and fishing. The nearest golf course is at the historic town of Antequera. You can ski during the winter and spring on the beautiful Sierra Nevada one hour away.
There is so much to see and do in Andalucia, just relax and enjoy the scenery and people of Real Spain,
