GUARDAMAR DEL SEGURA –
A holiday in our Guardamar Puerto Pinar apartments offers you everything you need for a holiday in Spain. Guardamar is a quaint old Spanish town, whose skirts are washed by the River Segura. It is surrounded by two natural salt lakes which form the Salinas de Guardamar. The concentration of salt and the temperature, combine to endow this area with a particularly healthy micro-climate and considered by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as being one of the healthiest parts of the world.
These stunning privately owned luxury apartments are situated right on the edge of an impressive pine and eucalyptus forest, known as El Parque Natural (forest), which runs parallel to the beach of golden sand. A stroll to the beach through the forest via little pathways leading down to this remarkable natural beach will take only approximately 15 minutes. Also there are many shops and restaurants within walking distance in the other direction. On route you can stop off for a cold beer and tappa at one of the local Spanish bars!
In Guardamar it is important to be able to eat out to take advantage of the long sunny days. The Penthouse allows you to take full advantage of eating outside as it boasts a large fully furnished private roof top terrace with extended views over the magnificent Pine and Eucalyptus El Parquet Natural (forest) with the sea and marina in the distance. The terrace is fully furnished to include sun beds, large table and chairs. There is also a ‘huge chimney barbeque and since the sun shines on the roof terrace all day there is a shower to cool down! Number 40, our other apartment has a good size furnished balcony. Both the roof terrace and balcony overlooks a stunning large flood-lit swimming pool.
The apartments have 2 double bedrooms, one with single beds. We also have a z bed available for larger groups of guests. Both apartments are ‘fully equipped’ to include satellite TV, washing machine, full size oven and hob, fridge freezer, all linen and beach towels.
Shops, restaurants, bars and a magnificent sandy beach are all within 10-15 walking distances plus there is a Massymas supermarket just 5 minutes walk away. Closeby there is a children’s fair ground and a lovely park called Queen Sophia in the town centre. In this park you will sea black swans, red squirrels and lots more!
The Guardamar beaches and the mouth of the river are a fishermans haven, you can catch the biggest fish ever for your supper! It is also possible to be taken out for days with local fishermen to some of the other coves in the area.
We cater for all ages, from larger groups visiting the area to take advantage of the splendid golf courses to families looking to enjoy a relaxing beach holiday, taking advantage of Guardamar’ s 13km of wide golden sandy blue flag beaches. Couples looking for a romantic holiday will also enjoy the magical atmosphere of Guardamar…last year we had guests on their honeymoon and an engagement party! Nature lovers, walkers and cyclists are also able to enjoy the surrounding area and the forest. The forest with its pathways leading down to the beach is just around the corner to the penthouse and directly opposite the number 40 apartment!
We take a special pride in providing children with an array of beach toys and children’s videos/DVDs. A high chair and a travel cot are provided in each apartment.
You dont need to hire a car during your holiday in the Puerto Pinar apartments as the bus Station is also within 10 minutes walking distance where there are buses which will take you to every corner of the Coast Blanca. The local travel agent in Guardamar also runs a bus to major attractions like Torrevieja’ s magnificent water park, Benidorm Terra Mitica Benidorm Palace at an excellent price.
Also situated close to Guardamar are a number of major golf course -Alicante, Las Ramblas La Finca Algorfa, Campccamor and Villamartin for golfing holidays. Villamartin golf course is considered to be one of the best courses on the Costa Blanca!
People who enjoy to shop will love the splendid Guardamar and the cosmopolitan towns of Torrevija and Alicante. In Alicante there is a massive store called El Corte Inglés where you can buy anything! Also set in the heart of the Costa Blanca and close by is Elche. This town is famous for its shipment of palm trees all around the word. It is also famous for its leather goods and has a factory which sells hundreds of fashionable discounted footwear! The famous Lady of Elche which is a well-known polychrome stone Iberian art was also found by chance here, on La Alcudia, a nearby archaeological site in 1897. It represents the bust of a woman with a very complex headdress and big coils on each side of the face. Who she might have been also remains a mystery, perhaps a goddess or an Iberian princess.
If you are in search of a Island Hideaway visit the small and tranquil Tabarca Island - this Island is just a short boat trip from Guardamar Marina or Santa Pola. Once used as a hideaway by Barbary pirates and by the Spanish to house Genoese prisoners, the island has a chequered history, but today it is used by locals and tourists alike for its recreational facilities
The surrounding waters of the 2km long island were declared a national marine park in 1986. They are a paradise for those people who like to snorkel, with the abundance of marine life in the clear waters. Water sports rule the island with pedalo boats along side windsurfers and dinghies moored in the harbour next to large private yachts. Everyone is in search of that small secluded bit of paradise and whilst you can see the mainland from Tabarca there is a feeling that an undiscovered treasure has been found!

Payment -
We require just a £50 deposit cheque to secure the booking, the balance is due six weeks prior to your departure.
For those guests wishing to book whose currency is in the Euro, payment on your arrival at the apartment can be arranged.
Larger groups of 12 or more -
Although our apartments together will sleep 11 people. We can cater for those parties which are larger as we have friends in the area who also own apartments.

We thought that your penthouse apartment was wonderful and felt very privileged to be staying in it. We could of not asked for anymore than what it gave us, from the sun drenched terrest to the beautifully decorated cool air-conditioned bedrooms.. it was all just great!!
As for Guardamar itself, well we all fell in love with it. The relaxed and kind attitude of the locals and the amazing atmosphere we enjoyed every evening made it unforgettable, it for filled our every wish. After two weeks away in years gone by I have in one way or another been looking forward to coming home, I have normally had enough even if it was fabulous, This was the first time I have ever I have been so quite upset to leave.
Well, back to reality now and today was first day back at work, I am sure you understand how it feels.
However the thought of returning next year if finances allow, have just made my day that little bit easier...

Would just like to say what a wonderful time we had in Guardamar. We fell in love with it, the apartment was just like home from home and we loved all the personal touches. The penthouse terrace was brill and Simon trained really hard. He is a black belt in Tao-kwon-do and is in the Scotland Team. His training has paid off he has been picked to represent Scotland at the European championships in Estonia. We will be back next year for 4 weeks. I am so glad we found this beautiful Spanish town cant wait till next year counting the days.
