BEST SPOT IN JEREZ - THE TOWN IS AT YOUR DOORSTEP

We spent a lot of time looking at different locations in Jerez before deciding on these apartments. Plaza Plateros is a shady square located in the centre of the town. Its the best location in town—a peaceful, wooded square in the historical centre, about two minutes walk from the main high street, three minutes walk from the cathedral, and about five minutes from the central market. Calle Larga, the main high street, is full of banks, excellent sidewalk cafes and bars, and stylish shops. The town is quite literally at our doorstep. And its beautiful.


JEREZ -- THE REAL SPAIN

Jerez (pronounced hair-ETH) is a Spanish town near the Costa de la Luz largely undiscovered by foreign tourists. It’s a beautiful Andalucian city of many small and large squares feeding into one another. Jerez combines the friendly, relaxed, leisurely way of life of a small town with the cultural sophistication of an ancient city.

You won’t find the huge hotels and nightclubs of the Costa del Sol here. Instead, in Jerez you’ll find a lot of good, local cafés and bars, lively night life, sports such as golf, horse riding, car racing and motorcycle racing, and a range of cultural events that’s truly astounding- sherry bodegas, equestrian events, flamenco dance, colourful religious festivals. Jerez is a major centre for them all. It’s a wonderful place. Everyone who visits loves it.

GETTING THERE

Jerez has a modern local airport with regular Ryan Air flights into and out of Stansted Airport near London. The taxi ride from Jerez Airport to the apartments costs about 14 euros. Nearby, Seville Airport is about an hour’s trip by train or car, and is serviced by British airways and others.

A little further away is Malaga Airport, also with regular international flights via Britannia Direct, British Airways and others. Its reachable by air-conditioned train, and service is economical and reliable.

Transport to and from Seville Airport is not a problem.
