THE APARTMENT
This luxury penthouse apartment is stuated in the Las Cascadas de Calahonda development and provides spacious and comfortable accommodation for 6 people, in 3 double bedrooms. Finished in marble, the apartment is on 2 levels, and has panoramic views along the Andalucian coast, over the Mediterranean and across to North Africa.
On the lower, entrance level of the apartment are the 3 bedrooms. There is an en suite bathroom/WC and a separate shower room/WC. Two of the bedrooms share a large, south facing terrace which has a table and chairs. Off of the shower room is a small terrace with a washer/dryer and off the entrance hall is a cupboard with storage space.
Marble stairs lead to the top floor and to the living/dining area and the kitchen. The large living area has 2 good sized sofas, 2 armchairs, satellite television, a video/DVD player and a stereo system. Patio doors lead out to a big terrace, with table and chairs, 4 sunloungers and great views. The dining area is furnished for 6 people. The kitchen is very well equipped with electric hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher and a large fridge and freezer. There is ample, good quality crockery, cutlery and glassware and a full range of kitchen utensils, for those who will be doing some cooking.
There is airconditioning/heating throughout the penthouse and temperatures can be set individually for each floor. An open fireplace can be used for winter lets.
There is parking space in the secure basement car park, from which there is both lift and stair access to the apartment.
THE COMPLEX
Las Cascadas de Calahonda is located in the hills high above the small town of Calahonda, about 30 minutes from Malaga airport. The complex has 2 large pools and is built around pleasant gardens and water cascades. The apartment is ideally situated to enjoy all that the area has to offer, whilst at the same time being located in a quieter area.
CALAHONDA
The small town of Calahonda, with its shops, restaurants and beaches is about 5 minutes away. Many golf courses are within a easy driving distance. Nearer to hand there are 3 restaurants and a small supermarket less than a kilometre away.
Calahonda is well positioned for exploring further afield. The accessible motorway enables you to travel easily along the coast - east towards Malaga and Nerja and west to Marbella, Gibraltar and the Costa de la Luz. Inland, the city of Granada and its Alhambra Palace (an absolute must to see) is just over an hour away and further afield you can visit Cordoba and Seville in a day. The historic city of Ronda and the beautiful hills and white villages inland, behind Calahonda, are also well worth visiting.
For those visiting in winter and early spring, the ski resorts of the Sierra Nevada are less than 3 hours away - anyone for a ski in the morning and a swim in the afternoon?

Parking: there is allocated secure parking in the underground garage. Access to the apartment is direct from the car park by lift, or by stairs.
Linen; bed linen and bath towels provided in the price, but not beach and swimming towels. These can be hired at a cost of £3 (or 5 euros) per person.
Pools: there are 2 large pools available exclusively for tenants.
Welcome pack: a welcome pack is provided in the price.
Pets: Not permitted in the apartment.

Special notes A deposit of 25% is required at booking. The balance and a returnable security deposit of £250 is payable 8 weeks before the rental commences. The security deposit will be returned after departure less the replacement cost of any breakages or the cost of repairing any damage.
