San Juan de Los Terreros is located 30 minutes drive from Mojacar on the coast, and 5 minutes drive from the typical Spanish Town of Aguilas. The historic castle town of Lorca can be reached within 30 minutes drive & Murcia within 1.25 hours. San Juan de los Terreros is a small Spanish Seaside Resort with 2 Supermarkets, Chemist, Restaurants/Bars, Tapas Bars, Coffee Shops, Ice-cream Parlours, Medical Centre. Nightclub and Garden Centre. An open market takes place during the summer each Sunday morning.

San Juan is situated on the coast with many spotlessly clean sandy beaches/coves and safe swimming for all the family. Desert Springs Golf Course is approx 20kms south of San Juan and is open to non-members (all year round) as are a number of other courses. An Aquatic Park is near at hand in Vera. San Juan is a well known tourist destination for the Spanish who holiday here all year round. Festivals are also plentiful throughout the area- the largest being in nearby Aguilas every February.

San Juan is situated in the north of Almería Coast, the only natural coastline of the European Mediterranean. It has the best natural beaches along the Almeria coast, as well as cliffs and lovely hidden coves. It is a diverse paradise, San Juan de los Terreros itself is located in a beautiful bay, protected from East and West winds. The "Bay effect" gives a special charm to its beaches and coves, because of the relaxing stillness and transparency of its waters.

There are three airports within easy access Almeria (75 minutes),
Murcia (90 minutes) and Alicante (2 hours)
