Description: |
Our beachfront groundfloor apartment is typically spanish in style and is set within a small gated courtyard. It consists of a large lounge with fireplace and double doors that open onto the front terrace and garden. table and chairs are provided for inside or outside use. It has a new fully fitted kitchen and a rear utility terrace/yard. There is a twin bedroom to the front that overlooks the garden and beach, then a double bedroom to the rear and a single room with pullout bed to create a double or twin room. Ceiling fans are fitted to the bedrooms. a separate door leads out to the courtyard and pool.the pool has a shallow area for children. It tends to be cleaned from April to October, but we can not guarantee the exact dates. From the garden you look out onto the sandy beaches and the nature reserve to the right. This area enjoys on average 320 days of sunshine each year, El Mojon is a typical Spanish Village Resort and has a very relaxed atmosphere, there are a few bars/restaurants and 2 supermarkets more beach bars and shops open for the summer. The rocky beach from were the locals fish is about 500mtres to the right and runs for about 500 mtrs then there is a glorious sandy beach that stretches to the next village of Torre with its shops, square with local restaurants and marina.The beach to the right stretches to the Salinas marina and nature reserve, in summer you can meet up on the promanade and join an areobics group, Tai Chi, or go for a beach walk/run etc, there is also a childrens park and a small football and basketball court. Nearby the Spanish towns of San Pedro del Pinitar, Pilar de la horadada and Lo Pagan are all within walking distance or about 5 mins in a car they have numerous shops bars restauants churches etc to discover. The famous Mar Menor the salt water lagoon starts at Lo Pagan here also are the healing mud Spa/Baths, there is also a lovely walk to the site of the old bridge that used to connect the La Manga Strip to the mainland. the new 5* Spa hotel has just opened (between El Mojon and Lo Pagan), it has an amazing thalassotherapy pool and a smaller pool for children, it also offers a large range of Health and Beauty treatments. The historical cities of Cartagena and Murcia are about a 30 - 40 min drive and dont forget the mountain areas well worth a visit. Golf courses are in abundance with Campoamar, villa Martin, Polaris etc all within 15 mins and then there is the renouned La Manga Club with all its sports facilities. Cycling (bike hire is available),Horse Riding, Mountain biking, Tennis, Bird Watching, Diving,Water Skiing,Surfing etc are all available locally. San Javier (murcia) Airport is only 15 mins away and Alicante airport 45 mins, we offer a collection service from both airports or can give a very cometitive quote for car hire.More information on the surrounding area, places to eat and visit are included in our confirmation pack.
