Situated on the Costa Calida south of the Costa Blanca this newly built holiday apartment is about 50m from Playa Honda golden sandy beach, 700m long x 36m wide. It is approximately 10 minutes drive to the La Manga Club Golf sports complex, North, South and West, golf courses (used as the venue for the TV programme Superstars).
Mar Menor Weather
Weather along the shores of the Mar Menor is mild, making it ideal for holidays in both the summer & winter. The area is sheltered by hills and high mountains making this a kind of micro climate. This limits rainfall, as a result the region enjoys sunshine for in excess of 320 days per year. The sun is hottest during the summer, with temperatures rarely falling below 30°C. The typically mild winters boast averages of around 17°C. Mar Menor area is famous for its salt lakes, which has a major effect on humidity levels, as a result the air is dryer than other parts of Spain.
Ideal for Families
The holiday complex has secure video link entrance, offers relaxation areas with palm trees in a landscaped garden, open air swimming pool with jacuzzi, heated indoor pool with jacuzzi & sauna in the cooler months, gymn and play area for children. The apartment is in easy walking distance to local supermarket, green grocer, general store, bars and restaurants. The beach has a bar open most of the year about 100m to the south and there is La Manga Camping about 300m north, which has a beach bar open all year round; there is a Go-Karting track about 1.5km away and there are tennis and basketball courts locally at the edge of the village. There are two adult bicycles for your use in the apartment.
Locally
There are large supermarkets within a five minute drive at Cabo de Palos; Los Belones village, is a short drive away and offers shops, bars and good international restaurants to suit every pocket and on Tuesdays there is a small market in the church square. Cabo de Palos, about 4km away is a fishing village which becomes a place for nightlife into the small hours; the chinese restaurant is a must do, there is also a large market on Sundays selling everything from local produce to flea market items. The local bus service between Catagena and La Manga, stops regularly at the edge of the village on the service road, the main bus station is about 2km onto La Manga strip providing service to the rest of Spain. The nearest train station is in Los Nietos about 6km away.
Car Hire & Airport Transfer
Hiring a car is the most convenient way to travel during your stay and it is relatively inexpensive taking into account the cost of airport transfers. There are many rental firms and transfer/taxi companies. some of our guests have not hired a car and we have organised their transfers.

Accommodation
Located on the 5th floor, there are lifts and stair access which serve 2 apartments per floor, it sleeps up to 7 people, accommodation comprising of two bedrooms, lounge/diner, bathroom, fitted kitchen and a good size terrace (14m2), overlooking the Oriental themed swimming pools, relaxation areas and the Mar Menor.
The Lounge/dining room is open plan, comfortably furnished including a double bed settee with a single pull-out bed below, dining table and chairs for 7 people. There is warm/cool air conditioning, video door entry system and TV/DVD/CD and board games entertainment. Sliding doors open onto the terrace where there is wooden terrace furnature and the beach toys are stored.
The main bedroom has two single beds, 2 bedside cabinets and lamps, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers and this bedroom also has warm/cool air conditioning. The second bedroom has a ceiling fan light, two single beds, a bedside cabinet with lamp, small chest of drawers, chest of drawers and fitted wardrobe. The bathroom is fully tiled and has a WC, bidet, illuminated vanity unit, wash hand basin, bath and shower with safety shower screen.
The kitchen is fully equipped, with a ceramic hob, oven, extractor fan, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, filter coffe maker, toaster and kettle. Cutlery and crockery is provided for 6 people and there are ample cooking utensils. The washing machine, cleaners sink and water heater is situated off the kitchen in the galleria terrace, the bikes are stored here as well as the numerous beach chairs.
The accommodation is spacious (83.33m2 ), floors are tiled throughout, it is well equipped and furnished to a high standard, all linen and towels (not beach towels) are provided as standard and all services are included with no extra charge. A cot and high chair can be provided by arrangement at cost. The apartment has a short hallway leading from the entrance to all rooms except the galleria terrace, which is accessed from the kitchen, and the main terrace which is accessed from the lounge sliding doors.
Water Sports
Fans of water sports will find one of the best places in the world for practising sailing, canoeing, swimming, water-skiing, jet-skiing, fly surfing, windsurfing, catamaranning, and every other type of water sport activity in its numerous clubs, ports and sailing schools. The Nautical Resort on the Mar Menor and similar consortiums in Mazarron and Aguilas offer the chance to hire out equipment and book sailing courses.
La Manga Strip
The strip is about 18.5 kilometres long between the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor. There are many beaches either side of the La Manga del Mar Menor strip that divides the two seas, the Mar Menor is safer for bathing, it is shallow, with temperatures generally higher than the Mediterranean but both coastlines offer excellent bathing opportunities. Beaches include Playa Honda, Playa Paraiso, Playa Cavanna, Playa Chica and Playa de Venceciola on the Mar Menor, and Playa del Estacio, Playa el Arenal and Playa de Galua on the Mediterranean. Many of the beaches have sun loungers and sun umbrellas which are available for hire at a small charge.
Calblanque Located on the Mediterranean mainland side, Calblanque is a National Park Nature Reserve where there are secluded sandy beaches, rocky bays and salt lakes. There are very few amenities, but it is the perfect place for nature lovers, walkers, cyclists and those seeking privacy or to observe the birdlife or whale-watch. The area is being considered for classification as a World Heritage Site.
Mar de Cristal
Mar de Cristal is on the inward shore of the Mar Menor it is the next beach to Playa Honda, where there is a good variety of water sports available. It is a short drive or a walk around the headland to the north (left), from Verde Mar III, where there are snack bars and restaurants along its length. The water is shallow and safe for bathing.
Apartment E12, Verde Mar III, Playa Honda, La Manga, Murcia, Spain, is available for rental throughout the year. Normally prices are based on renting the apartment for 7 nights although other periods can be accepted pro rata. The start date is negotiable, for you to take advantage of flight discounts. Should your dates cover different pricing periods the total cost will be calculated pro-rata for the number of days in each period. If you need further information we shall be pleased to receive your enquiry.
To make a booking, please read the Terms and Conditions below consult the availability calender below and then contact us. Your completion of the Application Form will be taken as acceptance of the terms under which the apartment is offered for rental.
Terms and Conditions
Your rental booking is made subject to confirmation by, we (the proprietors) to you (the renter).
On Receipt, please complete the Booking Form and return it with a refundable deposit of £100 held against cancellation, breakages, damage or loss of keys. The deposit is refundable 2 weeks after your return, assuming all is well and the keys have been returned. The balance is payable 6 weeks prior to departure. There is not normally an additional charge for cleaning after your departure unless extra cleaning is required. Should the balance not be received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking in writing and make the dates available to let. The renter is liable to pay the balance in the event of the dates remaining un-let.
Although you are unlikely to encounter problems on your trip, we strongly advise you to carry Form E111 with you and take out comprehensive travel insurance covering health, travel, baggage, loss of personal items and cancellation.
Tobacco odours are exacerbated and forced into other rooms by Air Conditioning; for the comfort of all, smoking is not allowed inside the apartment and only permitted on the terrace.
Unfortunately pets can not be accommodated.
Access to the apartment is normally from 16.00 hours on your day of arrival and should be vacated by 10.00 hours on your day of departure. These times are to allow the apartment to be prepared for the next renter.
