Description: |
Cortijo La Nava is a traditional Andalucian Cortijo (farmhouse) located in the spanish countryside, four minutes drive from the lovely pueblo of Villanueva del Trabuco at the gateway to Seville, Granada & Cordoba, yet only 40 minutes from Malaga and Granada airports and the beaches of the Costa del Sol.
The Cortijo is a beautifully restored rustic farmhouse and granary surrounded by rolling olive groves, mountains and spectacular scenery.
The Granary is all on one level and comprises 2 bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin, large shower room and an open plan kitchen/lounge/diner. A sofa bed is available in the lounge. A large feature fireplace is in the lounge area but we do have central heating for those cooler winter months. There is a private courtyard with barbeque facilities and patio furniture. The Granary sleeps 4-6 people.
The Garden has a selection of trees, shrubs, plants and a large lawn to provide a relaxed and secluded atmosphere with a variety of seating and barbeque areas and includes a Boule (Petanque) terrain. Boules and giant garden games (Jenga and Connect Four) are provided free of charge.
The swimming pool is surrounded by a patio area with tables, chairs and sun loungers for your relaxation and enjoyment. Please note, if the Farmhouse is booked, Granary guests will be sharing garden and pool facilities.
Activities you can enjoy in this beautiful area of Spain include sight-seeing, with many places of interest within easy access, such as El Chorro, the spanish lake district, Fuente de la Piedra and its colony of flamingos and El Tolcal with its magnificent rock formations. Also walking, cycling, bird watching, climbing, horse riding or just relaxing by the pool or in the garden. We could even arrange art lessons.
Villanueva del Trabuco where there is a good selection of shops, cafe/bars & restaurants is a typical white walled town, where the residents are very friendly and welcoming. Trabuco enjoys a slower pace of life, unless you visit during one of the many fiestas and on your travels you will still see the Shepherds & Goatherds tending their animals. Give them a friendly wave - they will always wave back!
Archidona with its famous eight sided central square and convent also has a good selection of cafes, bars and restuarants as well as a large supermarket.

Notes

The Granary is fully equipped to a high standard. Facilities in the kitchen include a kettle, toaster, washing machine, fridge with freezer compartment and microwave as well as the usual items needed to make your self catering holiday a home from home experience. All linen and towels are provided except beach/pool towels. We provide a mid week towel change and for bookings of 2 weeks, a mid term bed linen change.
A complimentary welcome pack is provided for bookings of one week and over so that you dont have to rush to the shops immediately.
Also provided are Satellite TV and DVD/CD player, There is a wide selection of DVDs/CDs to choose from, free of charge. There is a large selection of games and books for your enjoyment.
For those with very young children, a cot, high chair and baby bath are available, free of charge. Please let us know when booking.

Prices are in £ Stering and are for one week. Bookings for 2 weeks and more subject to discount. Discount also given for bookings placed before end of year for the following year. Special rates given for long term winter bookings. Bookings confirmed on payment of 20% deposit. Full payment required 8 weeks before arrival. Bookings of minimum 1 week include mid-week housekeeping (cleaning, towel & bedding change). |
