VILLA ARCHEZ
Sleeps 4 to 5 persons
Canillas de Albaida
The Villa is located between Canillas de Albaida and Archez, literally the last house registered in Canillas and first in Archez! Canillas has a bank, general store and chemist. There are also three or four restaurant/ bars.
Swimming pool
The village swimming pool is open between June to the end of August/ Sept. Opening times vary, although it’s approximately 12pm – 8pm. You can pay a few euros for a lounger/ sunchair and can come and go as you please, returning to the villa for lunch if you prefer. It is five to ten minutes walk from the villa.
There is a bar by the pool where you can order light lunches.
Walks
Canillas is a wonderful base for walks, with plenty of National Park to explore. There is a book in the villa of local walks in and around Competa and Canillas.
Archez is a smaller village, there are a couple of bars here and an excellent restaurant worth going to for a special meal out! Details are in our information book in the villa.
From Archez one road winds 8km south-west to Arenas. The Lonely Planet Guide of Spain recommends following the steep but driveable track that climbs from Arenas to the ruined Muslim Castillo de Bentomiz , crowning a hill top with fine panoramas.
Competa
Competa is approximately three or four km from the villa and is the largest local village. There are many shops,restaurants/ bars and real estate agents!
