Can Cruanyes is a typical Catalonian farmhouse with its characteristic stone walls and vaulted ceilings, located in a peaceful rural setting and set on 20 acres. The house is situated within the heartland of the Catalonian region in Northern Spain and is surrounded by the imposing peaks of the Pyrenees. The accommodation has an impressive swimming pool with shallow end ideal for children. The surroundings provide ideal locations for treking and biking for those who enjoy the outdoors.
Attractions include nearby medieval village of Besalu with a selection of enticing restaurants. The city of Girona has a rich, detailed, and dramatic history and is within a short drive of the accommodation also. Both Besalu and Tortella will provide all amenities needed for your stay.
Beaches
The visitor wishing to relax on the beach will be spoilt for choice, there are numerous beaches dotted along the coast.
The Costa Brava with its long sandy beaches is less than an hours drive from Can Cruanyes, and its resorts have everything the dedicated sun worshipper could need. St. Pedra de Pescadora beach is only 30 minutes drive from Can Cruanyes.
Walking
One of the most popular activities in this part of the world is walking and most walks are accessible to the reasonably fit unlike the Alps where a high degree of fitness is required to reach many of the peaks. As already mentioned there are a few walks that run close to Tortella and Can Cruanyes itself.
