Notes on Accommodation:
Beautifully presented large villa with spacious accommodation to an exacting standard. Panoramic sea and country views and private pool. 3 mins by car from historic BEGUR and 7mins drive to the beautiful coastal resort of TAMARIU. Facilities include internet, sat. tv (UK channels), aircon.
Additional Notes:
Completed in 2006, La Colina offers spacious modern surroundings and is well equipped with stylish comfortable furnishings and offers easy open plan living on one level [apart from two bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground level with separate entrance]. At the back of the house are steps to more garden; a wonderful peaceful area with a pleasant breeze. Ideal for relaxing away from the house and enjoying the views. There are sunbeds, deckchairs and ample indoor and outdoor dining areas. The panoramic sea and country views from the house and garden are most relaxing with the hillside town of BEGUR less than 5 minutes drive away.

La Colina is approached by a private drive with parking. The house faces due south and enjoys sun all day with shaded areas including the covered dining terrace which has part shade and electric sunblinds.
There are steps up to the front door which opens to a very spacious open plan living area with two walls of glass sliding doors giving fantastic panoramic views of the sea and surrounding countryside.
The living area has two 3 seater sofas, dining table and chairs for 10 and occasional furniture in contemporary and traditional style.
This spacious area opens to a large dining terrace with electric sunblinds, table, chairs and comfortable seating. The pool [3.5m x 6.5m] area can be directly accessed from the bedrooms and living area on this level and has surrounding terrace and sunbeds.

2 twin bedrooms with glass doors to the terrace lead to the pool area. These two bedrooms share a bathroom.
Ground floor:
2 bedrooms each with dressing room and shower room. One double and one twin.
Please note: Access to the two ground floor bedrooms and shower rooms is by separate entrance and it is necessary to go outside and down the main steps to gain access to this part of the villa.
The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven-hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, electric juicer, blender, etc. A further utility area houses the washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also a drying area at the back of the house.
From the kitchen and poolside there are steps to the rear garden where there is a small are of lawn and a barbecue and seating and eating area with picnic table and a swing seat. This is a most peaceful area away from the house and pool where you can enjoy wonderful views of the the surrounding coutryside and sea.

ABOUT THE AREA ~ this is the unspoilt COSTA BRAVA or CATALUNYA which is free from large Tour Operated holidays and where most of the properties are owned by Barcelonians. It is rarely overcrowded and has retained real Spanish charm without a souvenir shop in sight! This is an area you will want to return to again and again.... Every day there will be a different place of interest to visit, be it a cultural pursuit or another sundrenched sandy cove with clear water to while away the day. All the coastal resorts here have waterfront restuarants, cafes and shops and it is a real pleasure to wander the little streets around the front and enjoy the spectacular scenery that this rugged coastline offers. Development here is mainly villas as the terrain does not allow for large apartment blocks and the coastline remains intact with some wonderful coastal path walks.
The nearest beach at TAMARIU is just a 7 minute drive and here you will find the prettiest sandy bay with waterfront restaurants, shops and cafes. Also within 10-15 minutes are the excellent beaches and coastal villages of AIGUABLAVA, SA RIERA, CALELLA DE PALAFRUGELL and LLAFRANC.
BEGUR - This charming hillside town with its cobbled streets offers the visitor an outstanding choice of Catalan restaurants, tapas bars and shops. The main square has entertainment in the high season and there are many late night bars and a couple of discos. The overall atmosphere is very Spanish with local artists` paintings and crafts displayed in the square during the summer. Every Wednesday there is a market sellling fruit/veg clothes and accessories. There are excellent supermarkets,specialist fishmonger, butchers` shops and freshly baked bread available in many shops.
There are many other places of interest including Salvador Dalis castle at PUBOL and his amazing museum at FIGUERES, where you cannot fail to be drawn in by his diverse art. At LA BISBAL the streets are littered with ceramic shops and there is also an antique centre. GIRONA is a wonderful small city to visit, known as mini-Barcelona, with its own charming ramblas and interesting shops and pavement restaurants. BARCELONA, if you crave city life, is one hour by train from FLACA (20mins by car from BEGUR) and here you can leave your car and get right into the centre of BARCELONA by train.
The border of FRANCE is approximately one hour away but you will find all you need and more in this beautiful and charming unspoilt region of SPAIN, Costa Brava, Catalunya.
