The Property

This deceptively spacious, 2-bedroomed townhouse is situated in a traditional Spanish village on the coast, just 2 km. from San Pedro del Pinatar, not far from the AP-7 motorway and the N 332 highway. It is 55 minutes drive from Alicante Airport, or 15 minutes from San Javier/Murcia.

El Mojon has three bars/restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance and the sea with its long, safe blue badge beach, is less than 500 metres away. To the South-East of El Coral is the National Nature Reserve of the Salinas de San Pedro, where you can see flamingos, avocets, black-backed stilts, egrets, turnstones and many other birds, Winter or Summer. A favourite walk direct from the front-door goes out along the salinas, or salt lakes, and back along the beach - about 4 km. in total.

Three well-known golf-courses lie less than twenty minutes car drive away - at Las Ramblas, Campoamor and Villa Martin - while the famous La Manga Golf and Country Club is only half an hour away. Murcia has many new golf courses being built close by and will offer a wide choice for all golfers.

The ancient city of Cartagena, with its Roman amphitheatre and wide selection of modern shops, bars and restaurants, lies about 40 minutes to the East, while Murcia City, capital of the province, with its fine Baroque Cathedral, University and wonderful architecture is about the same distance to the North.

El Mojon is the perfect holiday situation, whether you're looking for a beach-break, a walking or bird-watching holiday, historical sightseeing or a golf-tour.

Accommodation

A small formal garden, a secure and enclosed car-parking space and a wide sun-terrace lie at the front of the house, which has large patio doors leading into the living/dining room. A compact galley-kitchen is fully equipped for long or short-stay guests, with new fan oven and ceramic hob, fridge-freezer, washing-machine and microwave.

The living-room has TV, with a large selection of English programmes, a radio-CD, a DVD player with a choice of DVDs, an I-Pod docking station and a selection of holiday reading and information. An air-conditioning unit gives cool air in the Summer, warmth in the Winter months.

Beyond the living area is a WC and washbasin, with the downstairs bedroom beside it. There are twin beds, a built-in wardrobe, drawers and AC unit offering both cool and warmth.

Upstairs, a wide corridor with large built-in wardrobe leads to the very spacious master bedroom. Again, there are twin beds, drawers and a warm/cool AC unit and another large built-in wardrobe. French doors lead on to a small private balcony, with views to the Salinas and to the mountains to the North, while a larger terrace is accessed from the head of the stairs. Beside the master-bedroom lies the main bathroom, with bath and shower-unit, washbasin with built-in cupboard, bidet and WC.

Another flight of stairs leads to the private solarium on the top floor.

What is provided

The townhouse is fully furnished, including all crockery, cutlery, glassware and kitchen equipment. Linen is provided for the beds and towels for the bathrooms, hair dryer, also kitchen towels and tea-towels. Guests are asked to bring their own bathing and beach towels.

Two folding bicycles are provided for use at guests' own risk. The area round about is flat and ideal for cycle rides.

Clothes-dryer, ironing board with iron and cleaning equipment are all provided in the house. A "welcome pack" consisting of milk, eggs, bread, butter, water, tea and coffee, sugar and jam can be provided at an additional charge of E 12, payable on arrival. This ensures that guests are provided with breakfast, no matter how late their arrival the previous evening! But there are also a number of very good supermarkets close by and two local shops in the village which cater for most needs, as well as a pharmacy within very easy walking distance around the corner.

A travelling cot, suitable for children up to two years, can be made available at a small extra charge. Cot linen and pillows are not provided.

Patio table, two sun loungers and chairs and umbrella are provided for use on the terraces or solarium.
